US... from the

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

US... from the

US... from the future.

Now, think of who you really want to be when you grow up. A writer? A skater? An actress? Pretend to be who you will be when you grow up. Tell us about your lives, for example, do you live in a big house? Are you super rich? Do you have 3 swimming pools? One inside, one outside, and one in your limo? Or are you tragically poor and live in a super small house? Just show us who you're going to be and that. Also, if, when you grow older, you want to change your name, be sure to tell us before you come here and post as a different person! Now let's start playing US... from the future. :):) (I'm excited!) :)

I will admit to frequent fantasies of acting on Broadway. I also have equally frequent fantasies of writing, becoming a doctor, or becoming a professional stop-motion animator (seriously, clay puppets are so FUN). So I dunno.

I will have a job as a nurse in the NICU. There, I would take care of preemie babies, which means that they were born too early. My brother, sister and I were all preemies. I want to take care of babies who weren't as lucky as my siblings and I. Also, when I get married and have my own chlidren, I would be a stay at home mom, and homeschool my kids like my mom does with us.:) Sorry, that was more of a paragraph, not a life from the future!!!!:):):) Great idea Maggie!:)

I really don't know!! :):) I do know that I want to go by MacKenzie. Maybe. :) What will I be...? Editor is my recent career thought, but I've been thinking that I may do YWAM in India for a year when I graduate. Hmm... :)

Hmmm... I have a few different ideas. I'll do them all, but briefly.

The first is that I'm married (naturally, to the awesomest guy in the world:)) and we live on a ranch. We're not rich, but we don't have financial problems either. We have roughly seventeen horses, three dogs, two dozen cats, and eight or nine kids. I think I homeschool my kids, but I'm not sure. And we all live happily ever after.

The second is that I'm married (again, to the awesomest guy in the world) and I'm a doctor. Probably a pediatrician - I love little people. Maybe in the NICU - I wrote a paper on preemie diseases and was fascinated. I'm not sure if I'd have kids or not - probably, but it would be awfully hard to deal with the stress of a hospital environment and then go home and be a good, caring mother. I dunno.

The third is that I - big surprise - am married and I'm a teacher. Kindergarten-third grade, probably. Maybe a sub, actually. That would be fun. Have half-a-dozen kids, and sub two or three days a week.

I'm not sure. Anywho, that was fun.

I'm not sure what I'll be. Oh wait, I'd LOVE TO BE A MOVIE STAR! OH YES! How about you, Annie?

I'm not sure. Umm, I'd love to be in some movies, but I also like to write.

Hello. My name is Lena G. I have finished college and married, well, someone. We have a twelve-year-old girl and twin nine-year-old boys and live in Maine. I am quite a famous author; you may have heard of me. I secretly check the Chatterbox every day and post under the name Leah D so I will not be mobbed by fans begging my e-tograph. In my free time I publish the magazine Starburst and work for Stone Soup by taking a flight from Maine to California every day. (Of course it only takes five, ten minutes to fly across the country and the security guards are Legillimens - for all you people who haven't read Harry Potter, it means they can read minds - and so check to see that you're not a terrorist. Airplanes these days are protected by some high-tech device and never crash anymore.) My daughter's bat mitzvah is next year and she has already started lessons. I write in a small but airy studio and have a high-tech Anti-Writer's Block machine outside my door that lets through tons of ideas every day. I have started some charities and am working to repair the world.

Gee. Maybe I don't want that to be my future life. I sure sound pompous. Anyway, that was fun! :)

An anti-writer's block machine, Lena, great! Did you invent it?

I'm not sure as a photographer I would sound any different than I do now, so I'm not sure what to say. Anyway, I would be a professional photographer or a politician or apologist. I would be very involved in the ________ movement, politician or not, and I would give lectures about _______ and Catholicism wherever I went. (but first I'd have to get over speaking-in-front-of-people-fright) I would teach religion classes somewhere, because I don't think kids learn enough about their Faith. And then, so very hopefully, I would achieve my goal of becoming a saint.

Hello everyone, my name is Kimber. I am a highly sucessfull screenwriter, author and translator. I live in a small town in Germany with a cozy, spacious home that smells of lillies and happiness. My hobbies are writing, running (in fact I have ran twice in the Olympics), and science. My goal is to discover a cure for cancer, though I'm nowhere near that yet I hope someday I will. I am married to a man I met in college. I went to Harvard and got a Phd in World Studies and language. I have two children named Aarika and Terrabell (twins, of course :D:D).

Gee, looking back on that I sound really stuck up and preppy!!! I just set really high standards for myself, but when I say them like that they sound very conceited!!! I'm sorry, I honestly meant this as just my goals, but it will probably not be my life.

Cool idea, Maggie!

OK. I'm a well-known classical pianist/clarinetist, and I have married *someone*, who is very nice and *rich* We have three children, two girls and one boy. I travel around the world playing concerts with both clarinet and piano, and people flock to see me wherever I go. Also, in my spare time, I write poems and short stories.

Wow, that's rather cheesy sounding. Oh, well. I'm not in a good mood today, actually, so you'll have to forgive cheesiness.

First of all, I either want to go to Juliard, or go to Indiana Univirsity,(<--that is the top music school in the US) or perhaps go to Germany and work my way there! (I have it all planed out, I'm learning how to speak German as language in homeschool!)

Then while I'm at Juliard/Indiana Univirsity/Germany I want to study piano/violin.

Then I want to be a (hopfully) famous pianist/violinist and travel around the world. And I want to marry a equally famous person that plays piano/violin perhaps viola, and, so like if I play violin, he can accompany me on piano, or the other way around, or we can split up and play with an orchestra doing a solo.

Well, that's my plan!

Hello all! My name is Maggie!!!!! You all probably know me from my bestseller books (you know, the Snowball series?) If not, they are insanely popular, and they're in every bookstore! :):):) I am also a traveler! Have you ever been to Spain? Well I have! (not yet though...) How about France? Moi have! (teehee) And the greeness of Ireland? Oh, what a beautiful place! Ancient castles everywhere you look? AMAZING! And of course, Germany! And don't forget England... hehehe! I've also been to all 50 states! (but in real life I've only been to 30 but I think that's pretty good, right? I mean, some people have only been to about 5 I am just so lucky!) Just like my grandma! hehee! I live in a big machine by Lake Superior (I really do want to at least live in a machine!) and I am filthy rich! yayyyy! I have a gardener outside right now. She sleeps in the garden house (Well, it's pretty much a regular house!) and I also have a maid! (hehehe) I have a private jet and a limo, too! I have an indoor pool and an outdoor pool. My life is quite amazing, I know, and I worked hard to have this life! Writing books is my talent. *blushes* But when publishing a book, you have to be patient because I went through 25 before mine got published! It was really exciting when my books got popular too, because I got so famous! But don't worry, from before as just another person in this world and changing to be famous, I haven't changed a bit! I'm still the same old me. I still have the same old friends, and I still hang out with my family! But still, sometimes I wish I wasn't so extraordinaryily popular. But oh well because my life is so wonderful like this! My maid and my gardener are really nice, we love to talk! I love to watch the gardener garden and sometimes I like to help, well, I mean it doesn't hurt to HELP! I want a garden, but I'm not the kind to tend it and all that. I just kind of like to stand there and admire the beauty and hard work that people put into it to make it look as wonderful as it is. Now, lets talk about my house, shall we? Have you ever seen the movie (or maybe read the book..) the secret garden? No wait it not like that... let me think... well, I'll describe it to you instead. There are two tower rooms and a a lot of windows. It's very nice because there are some woods on one side, and the big lake on the other. I have a small deck right outside my room that over looks the lake. It is so beautiful, especially when the sun is rising or setting!
