STUDYING HELP!

STUDYING HELP!

I was supposed to learn some math terms/rules weeks ago, but I still haven't memorized them yet and I have a test on Friday! My mom says that I have to study alone, and I have no idea how to do that!

How should I/do I study?

Thanks so much!

Try finding some way to get the material to stick in your head. Do you have a basic idea of how to do the problems? If so, practice, practice, practice, and check your answers with a calculator. If you really can't get it, stay after with a teacher. They will probably be willing to help. (If all else fails, extra credit will really help.

What I do is I draw these little comic strips about the math material I need to get memorized, then I read them. This helps me because it's easier to remember something funny than trying to remember cold hard facts. My comic strip starts a character named "Math Matt" who talks through the endless boredom of math and makes it sound interesting. For Social Studies, I have Lol and Ted, who talk about things like early hominids, and a female character named Sos walks around ancient sites like temples and stuff. It works for me. I mean, I know what a reciprocal is now!

I retested on that test yesterday and I don't know the results yet! But, I did figure out the 'rules'.

READ IT OVER. Then read it again. And again. And again. that's how I study. Make post-it notes and put them everywhere you'll be looking- the mirror, the TV remote, your computer, or even the fridge! Maybe that won't help you, but they best way for me to memorize things is to keep repeating it. Good luck, I hope you do well!
