Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Advice! Advice! Advice!

Advice! Advice! Advice!

Do you have problems in your life? Of course you do, my dear! But never fear, I am here to help you through it. My name is Miss Advice, and my duty is to solve all of your problems.

Ahem? I think you're forgetting something...

What? You? I'm not forgetting you... you're just not worth mentioning. As I was saying, ask a question about your life, and I shall give you such extraordinary advice that you shall thank me on bended knee!

Me? Certainly not!

I'm not talking to you, darling, now run along and play. While I wait for your grievances, fair reader, I may as well go practice perfecting my dulcet tones.

Once I am guessed, Miss Advice may start to be an independent AE for me, or just another regular AE. Please comment with questions... if you dare...

I'm sure that just because you go to a new school doesn't mean you lose them. Moving is a lot harder in terms of keeping track of people than transferring. When you move, it's hard to really get together with someone, and you have to rely on the phone, email, et cetera to contact each other. But if you and your friends live relatively close to each other, you can still organize to meet up with them, after school or on a weekend.

Please note I am a third party advice giver and am not in any way associated with the maker of this thread.

Thank you, Advice Persona, there isn't much I can add to that.

I originally made this thread to give good advice, but I thought people might prefer it if it were a humorous thread, so I was going to have Miss Advice give, well, misadvice. However I much prefer giving real advice and am glad this is the direction the thread is going in.

I get scared super easily. Halloween is coming up and I am seeing costumes of my worst fear. What should I do.

My best friend is moving away. This is the third time it's happened in the past few years.

I know I'm not Miss Advice, but no one has answered this post and I feel like I could provide good input on the subject.

You see, I moved away from my own home a year ago. I left everything I'd ever known behind. A few things to keep in mind:

1. Your friends probably miss you just as much as you miss them. Remember that they are the ones moving away, and they have as much to worry about as you do.

2. It's  okay to be sad and cry. Crying is a good way to get things off you're chest. Eating ice cream also helps.

3. You can still keep in touch with you're friends. Thanks to the wonders of the twenty-first century, we can keep in touch with people halfway around the world. Get you're friend's email and phone number.

4. Make new friends. There are more people just as nice and fun (or more) than you're old friends. You can meet new friends by volunteering at animals shelters, joining clubs, and trying out for school productions. This is a good way to meet people who share the same interests as you.

Good Luck
