Omnivores unite! (no

Omnivores unite! (no offense to all the vegetarians out there, I just want to know how many fellow omnivores are here)

I'm a veggie, and I don't object to you drinking milk, I do myself. You're thinking of vegans. And, yes, BellaTrix, I know that the milk market is cruel, but I get mine from an organic local milkman. ((And am a strong PETA supporter. . .)) True, milk in ice cream isn't from my milkman, but I can't live without, and besides, I think being a veggie is a good start, especially as I'm the only one in my family. :)

I agree.  It's a really good start.  There's such a thing as soy ice cream, though, that tastes really good!  The brand my family buys is called Turtle Mountain, and the ice cream is called . . . er, I THINK it's called Soy Decadent, but there's one called Soy Delicious and I'm not sure which one it is . . . one's better than the other . . . Well, you can check it out, if you want. :) According to The Ten Trusts by Jane Goodall, most milk contains pus in it. :P

Not being a vegetarian or a carnivore, I suppose I'm an omnivore. I was surprised by how many people on here are or have been vegetarians, so I would love to know, too.

Yeah I'm an omnivore all right! I love animals, but although I think they should be treated a little more humanely, they're being killed and all for food doesn't bother me that much until I get attached to them :P

Okay, calm down. We do not want another big argument, do we? I'm sorry if I offended you, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I just would like it if we calmed down a little... please? :) - smiley for peace

"        " *is stricken with silence* *regains voice*

Meat is not evil. Meat is necessary for a healthy lifestyle. How can you like animals when they're alive but call them evil when they're on your dinner plate?

YouTube? You're basing your outlooks on nutrition on a YouTube video?

Unfortunately, I see no need to apologize just yet- but please explain your views. (And please answer my questions. They're not meant sarcastically or rhetorically.)

*COUGHCOUGHcough*

*sputter**wheeze*turnsblue*
*waddlesaroundclutchingthroatandwheezing* Do you want an honest answer about my beliefs?  And Adina's (because I think we probably have the same views)?  Because I will answer, but it might turn into a full-fledged rambling debate. :)
Oh, and what Adina means is the meat industry/killing animals for food is evil, not animal flesh in itself. :) And the video Adina watched is probably the one called "Meet Your Meat", which was made by PETA, and that has actual footage from real factory farms.  (Am I right, Adina?)  PETA can sometimes be . . . *shrugs* A little too animal-rights-ist, but you can't exactly argue with actual footage. :) I saw that video when I was . . . seven, I think, and I CRIED and CRIED and CRIED . . . :(

I do not want to eat out of anything that has touched meat.  And i do not want to touch meat,  And Ido not want to eat meat.  Eating a dead animal does not sound good to me.

I have been a vegetarian all my life.  I never ate meat for purpose.  but i have had meat a couple times, NOT for purpose.  I don't call meat, meat.  I call it dead cow, or dead pig.  Or something else.  I say what it really is.

(I am just as healthy as omnivors.  Vegetarians eat beans, you know.  And eggs.  And chease.  And milk.  (I don't like eating milk or eggs though.  'Specialy eggs.  They could have been baby chickens.  (We get eggs from our friend.  She has roosters.  So they are furtalized.  We NEVER get caged eggs.  We get free roaming chicken eggs.  I also prefer soy milk.  Or goat milk from my goat-friend, Ginger.))
