Weird things that

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Weird things that

Weird things that you like to do!!!!  I like to act like a baby and say my sisters are my mommy's.  An hug people as hard as I can saying, "teddy beaw, teddy beaw teddy beaw, teddy beaw." again and again and again!  when my sister says i'm not weird, I cry and whine and hit her, (NOT hard though, I'm just being weird with her.)  when she says i am weird i hug her and give her slobbery kisses, saying "thank you, thank you, thank you."  Whats some weird things that you do?

P.S.  All of that what I said was true, truthfully.

Yup.  You're definitely weird.

I can't think of anything weird that I do, at the moment, but I'll report back as soon as I do.  :)

That probably means I should get off now.

Ok, BYE!!!!!!!!!!!

It's fun being on at the same time as you.  :)

Hi, Laura. You never know when we'll be on posting! Life is full of surprises.

Oh, you wouldn't believe my weirdness. I tend ot go off into halfway logical trains of thought out loud, often coming to a conclusion entirely oposite from the one I was trying to prove. I like to bop people - I walk past my brother when he's sitting at the computer and just bop him lightly on the head or something like that. And I tend to insert random things into conversations just to lighten them up. And I've been known to read a new book four or five times in a row. And I've also been known to be reading up to ten books at one time. And know exactly where I am in every one. And I have a vendeta against bookmarks - I can never keep them with my books - so I use whatever happens to be at hand when I need to stop - a dishtowel, my mom's shopping list, a chair, a blanket, a pillow, my hamster's cage.... That bugs my mom. And I climb to the very top of a tree if I have to read a book I don't like - somehow it's better when I'm above the roof of our second story. And when I meet people, I have a sort of game that I play - I guess how they're going to shake my hand. That's the only fun thing about social thingys where I don't know anyone - judging people's character based on their handshake. I much prefer the firm, solid ones to the flabby, limp, flaccid ones. I'm weird.

Emily, I just met a man this year who always offers his left hand to shake, just to see what reaction he gets. However, I prefer the conventions of society. It takes all kinds!

Cool, Admin! That's awesome! I don't think I'll do it, but it's an idea to file away. I bet someday a character in one of my stories will do that. Maybe I'll even tweak my book so that my second-to-main character will do that. It would fit him perfectly....

Wow, Emily! I'm more like you than I thought! From reading ten books at one time (and knowing where I am in them), to illogical trains of thought (sometimes I'm thinking to myself, and everything is making perfect sense to me, and then I say something and I nobody knows what I'm talking about). I argue with myself, (it's kinda fun!) and I used to do the same thing with bookmarks (and still do, once and a while) but I replaced that odd habit with another: I have a ton of bookmarks (which I can never find) and when I finish the book, I write down the title, author, date finished, rating (highest is five stars) and anything that might be of random interest (such as, when I finished a book on Friday the 13th, I said it was Friday as well as 3/13/09, and when I finished a book on Charles Darwin, and it happened to be his wife's birthday, I said that as well). I used to only have the title, but now I regret that because I couldn't remember who wrote, say, "The Sign of the Owl," or "The Ring of the Slave Prince," unless I Googled them. I do a weird game at social occasions, too: I examine the people very careful and decide who are related, who are more outgoing and who are uncomfortable, and I like to listen to conversations around me (I know, it's terrible, but very entertaining). You'd be amazed at how many ideas for stories and characters you get by watching and listening! But my weird habits go even beyond that. For instance: I write down my dreams (I get tons of stories out of them), and I collect the little round tops that you cut off of wine bottles (that stemmed from one of my oldest stories, where you needed a little token in order to leave the castle after dark. I found a little wine cap lying around by stepping on it, which flattened it and made it into the perfect token. Ever since then, I've been collecting them). And I think I attract weird happenings: two years in a row, in October, a car would flip on our lawn. Both times, nobody was hurt, and both times it was because the person had dropped or spilled something (first time was coffee, I think, second time a cigarette). The first time was six in the morning on Halloween, if you want to talk about creepy, but the second one was earlier in the month. We always warn friends not to drive by our house in October ;)

((Sorry, that's really long!))

We are strangly alike.  *Stares at Aliza for hours and hopes she gets freaked out*  Now, i have to go take a shower for the first time in a fortnight (two weeks, if you didn't know.)  And climb a tree.  *Smiles and nods head for no reason at all*  Well actuall two tree's.  It's Mom's day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly, Aliza! I listen to people's conversations too (it's not eavesdropping, it's research), I do argue with myself, and I collect weird things. Like boxes and baskets. They fascinate me for some reason. I love them. And I can't help but grab a book before getting in the car. Unless we're going to the library or something like that. Weird. We've never had cars on our lawn, though. Last Halloween I had a cold, so I couldn't hide in the tree that hangs over the walk and drop candy on people's heads like I'd been planning. Oh, well. There's always next year. Hey, there's another weird thing! I plan to drop candy on people's heads from trees on Halloween.

I'm so glad nobuggy was hurt in the flip-overs!!

Ok, these are answers for Emily and Aliza:

Uh, let's see:

Ok, Well, I too use anything in sight for a bookmark, because I hate sticking the one I'm using in the back of the book.  This has often turned into a disaster, because for some reason, I close my book thinking I put the mark in it, but it turns out it's way ahead of me.  But you know, I've gotten better at keeping one bookmark for a book. (Black Beauty was a breeze.  It came with a ribbon attached to the book!!!)

I can't read multiple books at once, because I have an easily confused brain, and I read books so fast, that I don't want to have more than one book to search for.  Although, if the book is boring, I'll set it down, and read three of four other books before picking it up again.

I LOVE to read in the (bigger) tree in our front yard.  But I do it for pleasure, not because my book is boring.

Oh, and I really want to record the books I read, but I always seem to loose the thing I was righting them in/on.

Oh, well, I was gonna say more, but I lost my train of thought because something shiny went by. (just kidding)  And I can't seem to pick it back up.  Ah well.

The weirdest thing that I do is being myself. Look at the banana! @#$%^&%$@#FCVXBGFcxvgDFSERW$#$%TRRFR%$^Y&GTFSDREDER%r43 ∟_7*UƒÄ±T╚£{▀▐Mo╝+Ü○xτ

Sorry, just couldn't resist.

Anyway, I sometimes read ten books at once, but I use bookmarks. (though I can never find them even though I have about a billion)

Hmm. I, too, bop people's heads at random times, I can read up to sometimes even 30 books at one time and always keep up with each seperate plot, I always have a bag with me even if we're going to the grocery store, like, today I have a big tote bag full of books to read in the car............hehehe. Aliza, that's scary about the cars! Odd things that happen to me............ hmm..............how about the other day when this boy whom I've never seen before just walked up to me and said straight off, "Do you have a brother?", and I'm like, "No, but I have a sister.", and my dad's like, "Why, you got one you trying to get rid of?", and the boy is like, "That don't work on me.", and I just cracked up laughing as soon as he walked away after explaining that he knew a boy who looked just like me so he thought I might be related to this other boy, and I'm like, "Sorry, I don't have any brothers!" hahahahaha~it was an interesting incident!

Ha! That's funny. Jenni, 5th graders keep on coming up to me and asking about Theresa, or saying that Theresa's my sister. I don't know who Theresa is, and I have 2 bros. . .

I read a lot, and turn down pages to keep my place. I have weird catchphrases, n stuffes, so yah.

Haha! I read a lot, too! And I use anything as long as it's made of paper for a bookmark. I've been known to use a small book as a bookmark inside a larger book, and I read both at the same time! My catch phrase would be, "Am I crazy, or am I crazy?" Haha! And, I still don't know who that boy was lol!
