Cuts.

Has anybuggy gotten a REALLY BAD cut once? Or broke of bone or something? Tell your stories!

I haven't gotten a bad cut, but my dad told a story that when he was jumping over a fence once, he cut open his finger and you could see some bone and tissues and stuff. He had to get stitches! He's also really lucky, the doctor had said, because he could have had to have the finger cut off if it was any worse! He, he! And the funniest part is that my grandpa was in the other room, and he fainted! HEhe! XDXDXD

No, you're a great storyteller. :)

As I said before, I've never gotten a serious injury, but my dad broke his leg in two places while he was skiing (he said some dude came up to him on the hill and twisted his foot around and it flopped all over the place and he got to go in one of those cool rescue sleds--but then it REALLY hurt and he had to wait for HOURS in a dingy old hospital until he got served) and he broke his arm while he was playing hockey once (I don't know how that one happened).

I would DIE (literally) if I broke my leg and couldn't ski!!!! That would be a total bummer. I LOVE SKIING!!!!! At the end of our annual ski vacation, I don't really mind if I break a bone, but if it was the beginning......*shivers*

Oh, and my mom sliced open her chin when she was little while playing on the monkey bars.  You can still see the scar. :S

1. I was trying out for softball this year and when I was coming back into the gym from the locker room I got hit in the head with a ball somebody threw. It didn't really hurt that bad at first but it did later! Anyway they gave me some ice and when i got home I told my dad. I put my bag of ice on a pillow and watched some TV. By the time I got up both the pillow and my hair were soaked. I went to see my dad cooking dinner and I was dizzy and my head felt really weird. My dad decided it wasn't severe enough to go to the hospital though, so I will never know if I had a concussion or how bad it was...

2. Yesterday I asked my brother to hold my dog on her leash and she was too strong for him so he sort of lost control of her and her leash went up against my legs and now I have rope burn on the inside of my knees and it hurts. :(

3. I remember once when I was like 5 or something we were going on a ferry. I skinned my knee right before we had to board the ship so my dad got off the boat at the stop to get me a bandaid and I was really scared because the ferry blew its horn before my dad got back and I thought we were going to leave without him. Oh and he also bought Lifesavers and they were delicious!!!!

 4. I go swimming in the rapids by my house and there are rocks that you sort of have to aviod and I've hit them a million times but I've done it bad twice. The first time I hit my ankle really hard and I still have a scar from that. The second time I hit my hip bone and I was wearing a one piece so I couldn't see it. When I got home and got changed I looked at it though and it was worse than I thought. It got sort of infected... not bad though. :D

5. When I was in like 1st or 2nd grade I twisted my ankle bad. Or at least it felt like it was bad. :D:D:D There was a hole in our yard and I stepped on the side of it and fell on the side of my foot.

I am always seeming to hurt myself and I wear shorts all the time even when I am on walks so my legs are always scratched up in the summer. Oh and I'm always seeming to get scars... :)

Do you wear shorts even in the winter? My friend F does, shorts and t-tshirts all year round! I nearly fainted the one and only time I saw him wearing a sweater! haha and his brother, O, always wears sweatshirts and sweatpants, like, super-layers of them, and the only exeption to that are his swimgear! haha! they're opposites!

NO I don't wear them in the winter. Brrrrrrrr! But once it gets warm enough it's shorts every day. I probably wear them from like April to September. Give or take!

Oh, and we had a really mean rooster and whenever you let it out of its cage it would attack you and you. I still have scars from that.

Why jk? It's true! Mention injuries, cuts, or pain of any kind, and this is what you get! ;) *is joking*

I think my message was edited because that's not the whole thing. The "jk" part went to something else, but I wonder why it was zapped. Maybe it was an accident.

My brother thought it was really convoluted that people would make a thread just to tell weird medical stories, but then again, the Chatterbox is a bunch of people who love to write - any excuse to tell a story (especially a dramatic or funny one) is good enough. The excuses we make up to write are strange.

Here's a funny true story. I had a friend who needed to have impacted wisdom teeth pulled and also an operation on one of her feet. It was decided to do both operations at the same time so she'd only have to be put under anesthesia once. She said the last thing she remembers before losing consciousness is that the podiatrist and the oral surgeon both walked into the OR, looked at each other and the patient, then one of them said: "Which end do you want?"

Hehe! These are all sad, funny, and sad at the same time! I remember once I sprained my ankle when I was on a trampoline. My brother got stung by a jellyfish (luckily not a deadly one) and still has little bumps on his fingers where he got stung. !!!! :):)

When I was five or eight me and my sister were on my moms lap.  Autumn pushed my off.  And then there a=was this two-inch-long meddle thing sticking out of my moms jewelry thing.  I fell and the two-inch-long meddle thing went into my back.  My mom brought me to the hallway and put some stuff in it.  I was really little and I remember saying, "I'm going to die." I didn't die.  I stuck my finger in it, it was like up to my second nuckle.  i have a bumpy scar rom it.  i know it's bumpy, I feel it.

My left ankle got strained a couple times.  One was jumpingoff a five feet concrete wall into the grass.  My shoes were um, really bad shoes for that.  And then I strained my ancle while jumproaping with my aunt.

My sister has gotten her thumb cut with someones nails.  The person did it FOR PERPOSE.  There was a flap of skin.

My dad had to get stiches on his nose because when he was a kid he was jumping to couch to coffee table, couch to coffee table.  he then cut his nose somehow and had to get stiches.

My dad has cut his thumb on something.  He had to get stiches.

My sister has gotten bitten by a dog.  She was playing with him with a ball.  The ball was right by her head, sohe tried to get it from her and grab it with his teeth.  He bit her face, a little under her eye.  She still has a scar.
