OK, so if you don't know what it is, all you have to do is go there and you can put info, like an animal type or breed, and then some other stuff, and it shows that kind of pet near you in shelters!

Oh yeah, we got our dog on Petfinder. We also tried to find my grandmother a dog too. It is a very cool, efficint (sp) site. Tip: If you go to advanced search, you can narrow your results down to dogs who are good with kids, cats, etc. It's really useful

:D:D Yeah, it's fun!!  And I can recognize most of the animals, too!! :D But I looked for a parakeet in Maine, and it gave me ones in like Ohio and Illinois!! :)

This site was really useful when I was looking to adopt my second cat. I still sometimes go on for fun and see which animals I like.
