Do you absolutely have to be 13 to do NaNoWriMo? Because otherwise I'll have to wait another two years. Just wondering.

Unfortunately, it says you have to be at least thirteen. So I suppose you'll have to wait until then. While you wait, I recommend practicing up on timing yourself doing novels. Such as, give yourself a word count you have to hit and do that in a month. That way you'll already have experience doing it when you can do NanoWriMo.

You have to be thirteen to post on the forums, but you can be under thirteen to simply write on it.

Actually, I told the computer I was thirteen so that I could join NaNoWriMo when I was twelve. Don't judge. XD

Nanowrimo, yes. You have to be at least 13. However, YWP, is for any age under seventeen. You just can't post on the forums if you are under 13.
