Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Does anybody know

Does anybody know any good riddles? Here's a thread to post and guess any riddles, long or short. But, we could turn into sort of a game, and the first person to guess the riddle gets to post one of their own. I'll go first!

I have a tail.

I have a head.

I have no body.

What am I?

PS. The answer is not a snake. They do have bodies anyway. Just (very) long ones!

Enjoy! I'm bad at endings! 8D

Is the answer a coin?

If so, here's my riddle: The more you take, the more you leave behind. What am I?

~Poetic Panda

P.S. Don't worry, LilyPad, I'm bad at endings, too. XD

Here;s a cool riddle that nobody in my family could guess:

For what do you throw away the outside,

Cook the inside,

Eat the outside,

And throw away the inside?

Can you guess it?? *myserious smile*

It's corn on the cob!

A boy walks into a county fair and sees a booth that says 'The Mysterious Weight Guesser!' The boy walks into the booth, and the man says, "Now little boy I've got a magic trick for you! If I can write your exact weight on this piece of paper, you pay me $50. If I can't, I'll give you $50."

The boy looked around, and there were no scales, so he shook the Man's hand. He left the booth with $50 less than he had when he had started.

How did the man do it?

He wrote "your exact weight" on the paper. Surprised they haven't kicked him out of the fair yet for scamming children out of their money.

What can run but never walks,

Has a mouth but never talks,

Has a head but never weeps,

Has a bed but never sleeps?

What's black when you buy it.

Red when you use it.

And grey when you throw it away.

Its pretty easy;)

A match, I assume?

---

I can sizzle like bacon,

I am made with an egg.

I have plenty of backbone,

but lack a good leg.

I peel layers like onions,

Yet still remain whole.

I can be long as a flagpole,

but fit in a hole.

What am I?

---

C'est difficile!

Here's one: (my teacher sometimes puts up riddles on his board)

What do you put in a barrel to make it lighter?

Also:

The person who makes it, sells it.

The person who buys it never uses it.

The person who uses it doesn't know it.

What is it?

Oooh, fun! This reminds of me of Riddles in the Dark!

What has it got in its pocketses?

XD I couldn't help myself.

Pick one up,

Scratch its head,

What was red is black instead.

Can you get this one? I don't take credit for it, someone in a book club I go to told it to me. I didn't get it the first time.

Here's another:

It fills holes and hollow places

It hides between cracks

Emptiness it chases

It's all around you, all the time

It's something you will never find.

I just came up with this one.
