Sci-fi creatures unite!

Sci-fi creatures unite! My name is Thursday Silvertongue (thanks, TNO w/ an umlaut) and I'm a
Maq'can. Go read the character 911 thread on the Inkwell. I am a
generally awesome alien, and I can walk through walls and stuff like
that. And Emily H. is trying really hard to put me into a story that
keeps stinking. Oh, well. And if she's not careful, she's going to post on this thread with all her favorite Star Trek people. Like Worf and Data and Spock and the Borg Queen. (halfway kidding about that one) Come on, sci-fi creatures! Join me and we shall rule the galaxies!!!!!! (otherwise known as you do the dirty work, then I assasinate you using my flow-through-wall thingy, and I take over.)

Hey, no fair! The fantasy creature thread has lots of creatures. Come here now, all sci-fi creatures, or I shall flow out of your computers while you sit mocking my thread and, um, throw your own mouse at you! I may be eager to rule the galaxies, but I'm not the most inventive....

Hello. I am Fauna N., a resident of the Sunflower Galaxy (don''t make fun, it is an actual galaxy!). I live on a planet where the creatures never die. An immortal planet yet to be discovered by the silly, weak beings of planet Earth. On my planet, we are each assigned a duty for which we are held responsible for as long as we live (in our case, eternity), and I am in charge of taking care of the animals here... Hence my name. The creatures here are much more interesting than any Earthly beings, and much more dangerous, so my job is very difficult. But I am very powerful, too. And very sensitive to change.

Things here have been the same for as long as we've known, but now, things are changing. The animals are acting strange, like they're under some sort of....spell. And the plants are being oddly aggresive. It must be because of... Oh no, they're attacking! Heeeeeelppppp!!!

Hmmm... It seems like if you've had millenia to consider it, your people would have come up with a cooler name for your planet... but then again, look at what the humans named Earth. (just kidding)

Naaaaw, we just like to keep things simple. You know, we aliens aren't as creative as Hollywood gives us credit for. Plus, we never took the time to think of a better name.

Like I said, we no like change. Change evil! Why change our name when it fits our uncreative kind so well? Uncreativity is our talent. ;)

Qrimm, or greetings.  This is a most intriguing portal to other space colonies and civilizations.  I am most excited to meet you all.  Let me introduce myself.  I am Raela of Siklir  I can speak Gfit, Dbinn, and earth English, learning Hergge.  I am a disputed heir to the throne of Kirlache, a region of Siklir, my home planet.  I am a disputed heir because no one knows who my real father was.  My mother is the Riikt, or queen, or Kirlache, so if my father is of royal local blood I may not be the heir.  Forgive me, I must be confusing you.  Contrary to earth tradition, on Siklir the rule is that no royal may marry another royal of the same planet for fear of inbreeding, though one could marry a royal of a neighboring planet or someone of lower rank.  My younger half-sister, Lyrice, is more liable to be the next Riikt then I.

Moving on, my favorite hobbies are playing yidsen, a game much like earth basketball, except a single hoop is suspended in the middle of the field by magnetic force, and you may not touch the ball except with your jivv, the rod that catches the ball, and you may jab other players in the ribs with your elbows.  I also enjoy submerging, which is like swimming, but Siklirians don't have to breathe oxygen (only hydrogen, which can be filtered from the water), and therefore can stay underwater much, much, longer.  Some have even settled there, but they are poor and only because more well-to-do people thought them an eyesore did they relocate there.  I visit them occasionally.

Not bad, being able to live underwater. But I can become water. Take that. :) However, I have no royal blood, so you're one up on me there. I happen to have gotten stuck in the same galaxy as humans (unfortunately) but my people have studied Galaxy 58.4 for many centuries. Are your people capable of space flight? If you are, some strange readings on our sensors could be explained as the signature of faster-than-light velocities. I will request that the Overlord get in touch with your Riikts immediately. May we meet again!

My people were capable or such in the 400,000's, but since the last Mynkk, or Great Ruler, Mynkk Cinen, passed away, my planet has been ruled by Mynkk Timad, who believed space travel pointless, and put more effort into engrossing Siklir's military.  For nearly 501 years, my people have been kept on Siklir with no possible means of leaving the planet.  Mynkk Timad has been expending so much time and energy into our military and technological power that he has quite neglected the Sixth Dhillj: "Let your people rule--in part."  All that to say that any ships of any kind that you may spot would not be us, but perhaps the inhabitants of Yulia B7, who used to be our closest allies, but are now taking arms against Mynkk Timad's admittedly foolish actions.  They are an advanced and friendly people, and you may send them a message for me if you ever come in contact with them.  Please tell them Riiktin Biash Raela is opposed to Timad's laws also, and that we may schedule a meeting to discuss the matter.  Also, if possible please inform them of this portal so we might not waste time and have a quick meeting.  I thank you.  I hope that we will come to know each other more.

Riiktin Biash Raela of Siklir, or Rae
Quick note, or wqaa: Meanwhile, I will try the convince my half-sister Lyrica and my . . . companion . . . Vinn, to use this portal.  May we meet again.

Raela,

I thank you for your response. I will contact Yulia B7 myself, and I will notify them of this communicatory anomaly. A most useful portal, is it not? Our scientists believe it to be the work of the earthlings, one thing at least for which we may be grateful to them, however much trouble they have caused in my galaxy. I, too, have friends and relatives who I will encourage to use this portal, most of them far from my home planet, Excelsior.

(still thanks, TNO w/ an umlaut) I am on this ship, The Pride of the Republic, in an effort to find them and convince them to meet here. It may be that we will see the ambassadors of Yulia B7 here, and perhaps in time we will all meet physically. May we meet again!

Yes! My initial efforts have been rewarded! Admitedly, stoiciometryland (otherwise known as the G.'s house) has produced some strange creatures, but Gosslineeka is my favorite. :) I'll work on Yulia B7's ambassador today. May my endeavors in that direction be equally successful! Welcome, Gosslineeka (e.g. Ashleigh)!

Greetings, Melder! I am Captain Xentano, of the Webett race. I pilot the fabled Phantom Spectre, and I was the first to break through Grox defenses to explore the centre of the galaxy. I have colonized over fifty different star systems, and I am known as the Omnipotent. I hold the Staff of Life. My race has bought out more than fifteen star systems from our hundreds of allies.

I have no need of your alliance, Melder, if your alliance means slavery for my people. I have no fear of your power, either; I have faced the mighty Grox and come out the victor. I have allies across the galaxy. I have been through wormholes, fought pirates, blown up entire planets. Furthermore, I am much cuter than you are:

((er, hope that works))

See? I have a RED PIRATE HAT. I'm not scared of you. [folds arms, adorably]

((Seriously, though, SPORE is amazing. I love it.))
