MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS.

MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS.

MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS.   Does anyone play any kind of musical instrument?  I play a bit of the ukulele but I'm going to learn the drums, and maybe the electric guitar and just maybe the French horn.  My favorite kinds of music are rock and country.  As for my favorite artist (music artist, not painting artist.), I'm not sure, but I like Phil Collins.  Can everyone say what musical instrument they play and their favorite genre (reggae, rock, roots rock, blues, slow blues, jazz, country, rap/hip-hop, pop, ETC.  and their favorite singer/artist? Cool

There should be a smiley face with a guitar!  FOMCL! :D

I play the piano (yup, me too :), and the recorder very badly. My recital is tomorrow. :( I hate recitals :(though, this year, I like the song I'm playing.) My dad plays the harmonica! I personally don't care for it much, but he loves it and has gotten really good.

I know I already said what I play... , but I wanted to say that the rest of my family plays instruments also (: We are a really musical family so you could say, we all can sing, we all can play the piano, and all of us play musical instruments including, flute, clarinet (:, trumpet, and percussion.

Instruments I play, in level or proficiency:

Fiddle/violin (mostly Irish/Scottish English traditional music, dance, etc., hisorical stuff, some classial music)

English Concertina (it's a free reed instrument, sort of like an accordian..only smaller, rounder and better, see kinds of music above, minus classical)

[insert huge gap of proficiency here]

Lap Dulcimer (aka Appalachain Dulcimer, Hog Fiddle, etc. It's hard to explain. Suffice it to say it's a folkie old-time Appalachian instrument that has a sound similar but not quite like a guitar. It's softer and sweeter sounding. See style of playing above.)

I sing too, and have been told I have a voice "like an angel", so I keep going at it, even though personally I hate how my voice sounds when it's recorded.

I'll listen to pretty much anything, though I doubt I'll ever be a fan of rap or heavy metal. But I may yet stand corrected.

I love traditional music, what some people would call "Celtic" (a rather generic term that infuriates a lot of the people who actually play it), sea chanties, and all sorts of things that my friends send me, heehee, a lot of old British bands from the 70s and 80s it seems like.
