STUFF & FIDGET

STUFF & FIDGET CUBE & WHATEVER YOU WANT

This thread is for whatever you want to talk about. Really, anything.

So, I want to write a book and I have tons of ideas. Problem is, I just have trouble sitting down and writing. Any tips? It's actually really hard for me. And have you guys heard of Fidget Cube? Any thoughts? Do you like it/not like it?

I write when I have free time. Generally at the end of the day and study halls.

Hi! I'm interested. Do any of you have a place on the CB that you mainly stick to? I am mostly on the Inkwell and Down to Earth. What about you guys?

Almost all of the CBers only stick to Chirp, Down to Earth, and Puddings Place. Chirp generally being the most popular. Inkwell is definetly not super popular around here anymore.

I love the fidget cube! My friend had one and I'd mess with it from time to time during class. Then I got a fidget cube and the little fidget spinner thing for part of my birthday (which was yesterday!), and they are awesome. Although if you are writing, I suggest not using the fidget cube in your dominant hand, because then you can't write.

Ultimately, I prefer the spinner to the actual cube, just because it is just perfect and peaceful, I cannot explain the tranquility I get from the spinner. The cube's nice too, but it's a cube, so not perfectly fitting for one's hands. And on mine, one of the five buttons doesn't make a sound when clicked which drives me INSANE. But other than that, I love it!

Seriously, if you can, I recommend getting both the spinner and cube. Also to help fidgeting: use a defuser with essential oils if you have one. Frankincense, rosemary, and peppermint are brilliant for focus. Lavender, roman chamomile, mandarin (especially with lavender), and so forth. It's really worth investing in, either with rollers or diffusers.

Peaceful, relaxing music does wonders as well, such as classical, nature sounds, rainfall, etc. Try meditating and yoga, especially in the mornings or before a stressful, fidgeting activity like writing or a test. Eat oranges, they clear up your mind. Take walks, that helps. Because a big reason people fidget is due to stress and anxiety, whether or not you know you have it. If you fidget when writing, maybe you are stressed or have anxiety about getting to a certain great part in your book planned, or because you are nervous on how to start it. Just take a deep breath and keep going. Good luck!

Basil essential oil is good for focus too:-)

*Facepalm* Right! How could I have forgotten about basil? It's another great one for focus, you're right.
