Does anyone here take the California Achievment Test? I'm taking it tomorrow. But I'm not really nervous, because I did really well last year!!?? I got 100%!!!! But I don't normally do that well. :) I kind of like it, because it's so much fun filling in those little circles!! :D:D:D hee hee.

Do you live in California?  (I didn't think you did... hmm...)  And no, I don't even know what it is.  :)

No. :D But a lot of homeschoolers take it. When it's graded it shows where you are, school wise, compaired to other kids.

The co-op we go to offers the C.A.T. tests, but my brother and I have never taken them. I hope you do well! We take the SAT on Saturday. :P

I took ITBS (Iowa Test of Basic Skills) this spring. I love filling in the bubbles! Personally, I really like taking ITBS, I don't know why. Oh, I just got my results back a couple of days ago! I got 96% overall! :)

My NJ school does the Terra Nova (new ground in Latin, yes?), and I took the John Hopkins test a few months ago. The circles irk me, personally. As do all standardized tests (I mean, make them a little harder, people, seriously, or at least less book-info).

Oh yeah - I've taken that test too. That's actually what I used to take, but with CAT you can take it at home which is less of a hassle.

The SAT??? Isn't that the one most people take in 11th grade? :D

Yes, ever since I've been homeschooled I've taken the C.A.T.  Good luck on the test!:D

I take the TAKS (Texas Asessment of Knoweledge and Skills) and I think it's WAY TOO EASY! I've still NEVER gotten lower than 96% on it, and that's when I'm being lazy and not focusing! Plus, when you finish, you're not even allowed to read, you have to just sit there and do NOTHING AT ALL until THE WHOLE ENTIRE CLASS is done! Plus, on the week - oh, sorry I mean MONTH is done, all the teachers ever teach is what they think will probably be on the test - the state says they can't look at it. And it makes everyone get all nervous beforehand and they end up doing fine. It's unfair!!! :(

I don't know what the test that I take is called. I don't go to a public school, but the public schools in MN can't start untill after Labor Day. The teachers do NOT like it and this year if they have to start after Labor Day they will have to have school really far into the Summer, and take time out for teaching things for the test of which I forgot the name. WOW that was a really long sentance, opsies. (:

So it's true! My friend Josh told me you guys had to sit there doing absolutely nothing until everyone was finished. That is SERIOUSLY unfair. I live in TX too, only I go to a private school, and we take the CTP4 test. It's kind of hard, but not impossible. Thankfully we're allowed to read while the others are finishing. Why do you have to wait doing nothing while the others finish in TX public school? I mean, it's not like reading is going to interrupt someone's concentration...

The test we take is called the WASL (Washington Assessment of Student Learning) but it was supposed to be a really bad test, so from now on we're doing the ISomethingTSomething whatever-it's-called Iowa test.

Yeah, for some reason, a lot of states take the ITBS test. My cousin was complaining about having to take it in Missouri.
