Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Anne of Green

Anne of Green G.ables

I love those movies. They are so good that I could watch them every day for a year and not tire of them! Hee, hee. I found a tripod website that has the SCRIPTS on there that you can read!!! I read them all. :) I can even hear each of the character's voices when I'm reading their lines. :D:D:D Sorry this is random, but yeah. Ooooh I just got a good idea for another thread!! he ehe

Yah, they're pretty good.

I always think it's funny how when Anne falls off the roof and faints, she later says that now that she finally has fainted, she really doesn't like it. (or something like that)

In the beginning, Anne is so dramatic, I always get kind of annoyed with her, but I still like the movies!

I recently read the book, and really liked that too.  :)

Have you seen the second one? I really want to read the books, but the copy at the library has such tiny print that I can never sike myself up to read it. :D But yeah, I really should read them.

I think I've seen all of them, but I'm not sure....  We used to have them, because we were borrowing them from my Grandparents, but I don't remember if I ever got past the first.  I'm pretty sure I did.  Hmm....

Oh, and I'm not sure about reading all of the books yet either, because we own a rather large copy, and I'm not sure, it might be them all combined...  Oh well.  :)

Uh, I think I've watched two of these...I'm not sure. I know my sister watched 2 of 'em about Anne going to find Gilbert during the war. I think that's what she said they were about.

Yeah that would be the third one. I don't really like that one, because there's this author who falls in love with Anne and it's weird.... :o)

Have you heard from Kimmie lately?

Kimmie told me she might not write for a while because she was going to Illinois to visit her cousins.

I Hate the third one!!!!! It has nothing to do with the books and is tasteless and disgusting!!! The first 2 were okay. I have been to Prince Edward Island where the book takes place, and there is an actual house called Green Gables.

When I was little, my eldest sister would read the books to us. I loved them, even though I don't really remember them very well. Say, maybe "Anne of Green Gables" could be one of the books we read for the book club!!!!!!

I love Anne of Green Gables. I read the books when I was....*counts* I don't know, probably 9/10 or so. It's a whole long set, it goes through many about Anne, and then her kid, and then their kids, and I never did finish them. I should dig them out again sometime.

The books are fabulous.

But the movies are quite good too, except fot the third one. Don't even bother watching the third one, it doesn't follow the books, and it doesn't even stay true to the characters, like other movie series that have taken, ah, "liberties" with the book. Even the second movie changed some details around, but at least it stayed true to the characters, the third? Forget it.

You know, this reminds me...we should get these on DVD, all we have are the ancient VHS tapes, somehow they managed to survive the VCR plater.  Then we could watch them more often, like the other favorite movies that we keep coming back to...and back to.....and back to again ad infinitum. Tongue out
