CBer Interviews

CBer Interviews

Sorry, this won't be your regular CBer Interview, although in a sense it'll be unique. Basically, I really want to interview some of you CBers who have been published before. Whether that be self-published, or through something like a magazine, what not. And, if you have been published (at any time in your life) and you agree, I would love to interview you here on the CB! As long as you give me permission, I'd like to also feature that interview on my creativity blog, using your screen name of course.

So, who here has been published/self-published before? If so, I can start forming some questions!

What sort of "published" do you mean? I had a (very) short story published in Spider magazine, and I've had little snippets published twice in the Kyngdom section of the magazine, and once in the Letterbox. So nothing terribly difficult or impressive. But I'm here!

I think those would be perfect, Esthelle! If you are interested, do you mind answering these few questions and being featured on my on my blog? I would use your screen name here and your answers were given, if you don't mind. So here's my questions:

Q. What kind of writing brings you the most joy, and why?

Q. Who or what in your life has inspired you to work toward being published?

Q. What was your first reaction in becoming published the first time?

Q. Do you hold any goals for your future in writing, or is it simply a hobby?

Q. What was your first thing you can remember writing when you were young?

Q. Are you currently planning or working on another big writing project? If so, what is it?

Thank you, Esthelle! If you wanted to add any more notes or whatnot about your writing, I would love to include that. Again, you don't have to answer if you don't want, but I would love to feature authors on my blog. Thanks!

I've had my artwork published in Cricket, in December 2016. And I've had tiny little things published in Scribblers when I was little if that counts.

Could other CBers answer these questions too? Just wondering.

Cool! OK, so I've had my work published in a magazine 3 times- once, my art got 2nd place in a Cricket contest, which was something about a river. 2nd- I also got second place in the winter writing Cricket contest that was published this month, and 3rd- I had my art as a 3 year old published in a Ranger Rick magazine XD I've also had snippets of writing from the Chatterbox posted in the letters section, thanks to the admins! I think the most recent one was my fractured fairytale-ish story idea, which is in the April 2017 issue.

if you want to interview me/use me for your blog, go ahead!

Well, sometimes little snippets of my writing are placed in the Cricket magazine. A local newspaper also took a picture of a peice of my artwork once and interviewedd me about that. Other than that, I haven't had anything published before.

I wrote a letter that was published on Cricket a long time ago, I won a Cricket contest, and my Kyngdom stuff has been published a few times. I was also in the local newspaper for a speech I did.

@Everyone

I will actually write up specific questions for each of you, since your publishings are different from one another. So let me get that set up, thank you for sharing!

@Dandelion, you artwork in Cricket sounds like a fantastic thing! If you wish, you can answer the questions commented under Esthelle's comment talking about your artwork. Or if you prefer, Scribblers would work really nice too. Actually, I will write up some questions.

@Bluebird, I'd love to use your experiences! If you want to talk about your artwork in Cricket, or writing contest, anything you wish, or even a bit of it all. I will actually write you up questions about that, so it will take a minute to get set-up. Thanks!

@Embers in the Ashes, that is fantastic! Would you like to talk about having your artwork in your local newspaper? I can actually write you a set of questions centered around that, so lemme get that set-up.

@Mei, that is great! I will write up some questions for you, and I would love to hear about your speech. Thank you!

Sure! It was a few years ago... I'm not really brave enough to submit stuff to contests, so nothing big's happened since.

I have had two of my characters quoted on the Kyngdom pages in the Cricket Magazine.

Thanks Ashlee! And I remember I also had a painting I made published in a children's art calendar.

Q. What kind of writing brings you the most joy, and why?

Actually artwork, but I really enjoy drawing nature, its really beautiful, for one, and its calming.

Q. Who or what in your life has inspired you to work toward being published?

I would first say the stories and art in Cricket mag. They are just really amazing, and I want to be able to do something like that. Also my friend was the one who told me I should really send ti in, so I thank here for that.

Q. What was your first reaction in becoming published the first time?

I was really excited and happy to see my work in print.

Q. Do you hold any goals for your future in writing, or is it simply a hobby?

Now my writing/drawings are more of a hobby, I don't think I am going to have a writing career. But you never know.

Q. What was your first thing you can remember writing when you were young?

I have this notebook from I have from I was like in 2nd grade full of little stories and poems that I wrote. I remember I wrote this really long poem about bugs gaving a pary and was really proud of it then.

Q. Are you currently planning or working on another big writing project? If so, what is it?

Not really. Though a really cool idea popped into my head a few days ago that I have a plan to write into a story. I'll see where it goes!
