Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Given the intense

Given the intense amount of paranoia about vanishing people, I probably should warn y'all that I'm going to CA then Costa Rica and will be on with decidedly less frequency than normal throughout the rest of the month. Then I will come back and gloat about getting to swat insects and zipline through the canopy, and maybe I will even post some pictures. :) 'kay?

Just a very random question:  do you know anyone named either Maureen or Robin, who live in ca?

Sorry.  Now you probably think I'm the weirdest person ever and will never speak to me again...

Actually I don't picture people in bikinis when I think of California. I picture lots of green, the Stanford campuses, and if I picture beaches at all I picture the ones in North California, the not-so-very popular ones where it's kind of too cold for bikinis, haha (but just right for me, Fremont Lake, where we mostly swim during the summer (pool's too crowded), is usually about 37 degrees). And my memories of the beach involve lots of frisbee. No bikinis.

My cousin lives on a ranch, actually. They have cows, not bikinis. :)

GREEN?????  YOU PICTURE GREEN????????  HA!  I can tell you don't come here very often!  Yes, there are a lot of evergreens, but the hill are only green in the end of winter, and very beginning of spring!!!!  I wish it was green...  :(      Huh, green.  It is really pretty when the hills are green.  Aahh... now you have me wishing again...

And as for Stanford, I don't even know where in CA it is, let alone what it looks like!  Hee hee!!!  This is funny....

Thanks for not picturing bikinis!!

Yes!  Keep picturing the northern beaches!!!  You have that spot on!!!  I see people (mainly teenage girls {needn't say girls, never seen a boy in one}) wearing bikinis on our beach, and they look FREEZING!!!!!!!  I generally don't even bother bringing a swimsuit to the beach.  I wear shorts or something, so I can go in the water, but you have to have warm blood to do that, because it's icy!!  :)  (thankfully I do)

Note to anyone going to a NorCal beach:  Bring layers.  Always expect the unexpected (weather wise).  Watch out for bad surf.  Stick to paid parking beaches, much safer.  Stop by my house and take me with you!!  I could live on the beach!!!!!!!  :)

Yes, quite a few cattle farms in Cali. *waves hand in front of nose* *phew*

Well, more accurately, green trees and yellow grass. It's green for me, anyway- in my town the plant life is generally either brown, dark dark green, or greyish blue-green (sagebrush... and more sagebrush... and more sagebrush... and a pine tree... *sigh*).

I swim at the beaches. It's warmer than Fremont, anyway... XD But I wear a tank top and shorts, not a swim suit, generally. And I spend a lot of time running around playing catch/frisbee/run around like a maniac just because we can/some game with rackets/soccer/football with my crazy friends/cousins/uncles.

And Stanford, well, Stanford is Stanford. It can't really be described. Suffice to say the campus is gorgeous. And there are lots of squirrels.
