I need cheering

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

I need cheering

I need cheering up... I just went on a school trip, and lost/forgot a bunch of things: my rain jacket, my camera, my sleeping bag, the keys to the place we were staying (worth a hundred dollars that I have to pay back with my own money), my sunglasses. I feel terrible cuz everybody's annoyed with me. Oh. And both of my bags had to be inspected on the return flight cuz there was a crushed can in one and rocks in the other. I feel so bad that I'm not using very good grammar. Can you guys please do something to cheer me up? Thnx...

Awwww, Kate, I'm so sorry. Here, hold a kitten *hands over tiny fluffy kitten* maybe that'll help. (If you have a cat in real life, you could also go pet him/her, but..... kittens!)

There's a website for emergency kittens (pictures of adorable kittens for people in need of them), but I don't have a link to it.

Aw, Kate, I'm so sorry. That really, REALLY stinks. I know the feeling of having everybody's wrath directed at you. It. Is. Not. Fun. I hope you feel better. Go bury your nose in a book or listen to a podcast or watch a tv show..... that's usually what I do when I need to pretend that I'm not living on planet earth :P

Oh no. Poor Katie! :( I hate it when that happens! I hope this isn't an impersonator, because this seems really similar to that time AutumnArtist (I think) was impersonated. But, until I'm told differently, I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and assume it's real. I'm so, so sorry this happened to you, Kate-the-Great. It really, really stinks when things go badly. I wish I could give you advice or something, but there's nothing I can say other than we all love you and hope you feel better. *hugs* We're here for you, ok?

I'm sorry about that, Kate! I understand that losing those things was upsetting, and the bag inspecting wasn't on your ideal vacation activity list either....but please don't be too hard on yourself about it. You're awesome and don't deserve that! :) Eventually it won't be a big deal anymore...I get that might seem like a bold or annoying statement, but I believe it's true. Have a hug, and treat yourself to something yummy since I can't magically teleport you comfort food. Love ya friendo! :D

Aw, that's terrible. I'm sorry. *hugs* Here, have a berry tart. And then go cuddle some puppies. *points to puppy cuddling center and berry tart stand* I'll be praying for you.

Oh that stinks, I'm sorry, Kate! I once left a really expensive like $100 coat in a hotel and they never contacted me back about it. Sad thing is that it was a gift from my grandma, so I was really mad/upset not getting it back. Is there any chance you can contact the place where you were staying to see if they have any of your things in the lost and found? I made the error of emailing and not calling the hotel, but I think if you call you might have a chance at getting it all back.

At least remember that you are all okay! We are here for you. We all lose things, sometimes things very expensive or important to us. Just take a deep breath and remember that materials aren't what is important - it is you that is. I hope you feel better! *Hugs*

Thanks Ash! I am going to try to call them. I am feeling better, but my teacher didn't help by saying I left half my suitcase behind yesterday.
