Happiness Challenge!

Happiness Challenge!

I'd like to challenge all of you, yes, all of you, to partake in the happiness challenge! It's extremely simple, just post one or more things that make you happy every day!

I'll post mine when this thread shows up <33

Also, @Admins, feel free to participate in this too! :))

Finally figuring out a tricky rhythm or group of notes and playing it right on the flute.

Lying in the hammock with a good book and looking at blue sky and puffy white clouds through the opening in the trees above.

I live in Singapore, so I'm happy when something is cold, I long for something besides hot, sunny and humid.

-My parents

- The beautiful warm lake I'm by right now which is large, blue, and glittery. When you swim in it you realize ze it's full of dead leaves on the bottom and is a shade of brown, but it's still nice to swim in.

- My friend (I'll call her Hamster) who always responds when I ask her what the homework is and asks me if I want to hang out

- My theater friends who are older than I am but still laugh with me

- Walks around my busy neighborhood where I can see the borders between communities and cross them easily

- Watermelon, raspberries, and strawberries. And nectarines, peaches, and sugarsnap peas

- The farmer's market that comes to my neighborhood even though I live in a city without farms

- The pact that I have with my friend that in two years we'll email each other and tell each other secrets that we're both curious about

- Hammocks

- My friend who is 19 telling me about code like I care and understand, and I do care and understand.

- The newspaper

-My dad's cute drawings (his area of expertise is not representational drawing)

(Yesterday's) Long car rides. So much time to just chill and listen to music and draw without having to worry about what you should be doing, and you get to look at the scenery!

Today's: Wearing fuzzy socks, especially when it's freezing outside!

Thunderstorms. We're getting more of them now that it's summer, and I revel in every moment. The Vikings believed that thunder was the sound of Thor's hammer and the lightning was Odin's spear, and storms happened when they were fighting Jotun. I don't know where I learned that. Rain is always nice (except for drizzles, but those don't count), and I love the sound of thunder, the rolls and booms and claps. Trying to catch a glimpse of lightning bolts and figure out how far away they struck is fun. It's exciting and awesome, like Nature's fireworks show, only better.

Oh, that's so cool! I have always wanted to do that, but I could never grow my hair out long enough because it was crazy thick too hard to take care of.
