❤♡❤ Hello there!

❤♡❤ Hello there! ❤♡❤

Anyone remember moi? It's been quite a while since I have taken the time to comment in this lovely old place. I percieve several millions of new faces, which is very exciting; nice to meet y'all!

Life update for those who remember me:

I've missed you guys so much! I have started high school, (still homeschooling) and am now drowning in homework (YAY!) #life

I'm actually taking a community college course, so that's some extra work as well, and while it's fun it's definitely quite a load. Ah, how I do regret not cherishing my time in middle school more . . .

Anyways, otherwise I guess I'm doing okay! How are you guys?

Intro for everyone else who doesn't know me:

Hai cuties! My name is Cayke, and I am an oldie from the CB of 2014-2015. (I can't believe it's been almost 4 years! Time really does fly.) My username comes from an interesting character in The Lost Princess of Oz, and I am an avid fangirl of Anne of Green Gables, Little Women, A Wrinkle In Time, and of reading in general! I love writing, and just recently got a series of short blogpost-type writings of mine published in my school newsletter, which is pretty awesome. You've probably seen me occasionally pop up in the Letterbox, or seen my old posts on here. It's nice to be back, and nice to meet you guys!

To Admins:

(short background for everyone else; I recently posted a comment on the CB that basically said hello, and also asked the Admins for advice on how to cope with moving, because I will be moving soon. They were really awesome and replied, and suggested that I ask the rest of y'all for advice as well, so anything you guys want to tell me that might help me emotionally adjust would be great!)

Thank you so much for your advice! That really helps me, I will definitely keep in touch with my old friends via phone/email, and hopefully I'll be able to visit my old city often so we can hang out. It's awesome to hear from you guys again too! I'll definitely check in every now and then!

Yay! Cakye!!!! I'm so happy you're back-ish! I really haven't been that active because High School is a thing that happened, but I hope you stay around. You're a really kind part of the community. *hugs*

(To be clear, I'm not leaving)

CAYYYKKKEEEE!!! I always look forward to hearing from you! It's wonderful to hear you are doing good. I totally can relate to school, although my homeschool highschool for this year isn't that bad actually. Just take it bits at a time and make sure to leave in time to be yourself and relax.

As for moving, goodness, I know how that is too. I've moved probably a good 30 times. I guess it really depends on the person, and how long they have been living somewhere. In my case, we moved so much I found it exciting and easy. For others, most probably, it gets stressful. I guess you can count yourself lucky in not having to leave school, that always causes issues (both with leaving a place you know and credits for highschool). I think the best you can do is just be brave, Cayke. You are an amazing individual and I know you can do whatever you set your mind to. If it is friends you are most concerned about leaving, remember you will always have contact with them. If they are your real friends, they will still do everything to keep in touch. Make sure you have their phone, email, or whatever you guys use. Snail mail is really fun to keep in touch, because it is something physical from them and always a great surprise to receive mail (can you believe my Grammarly doesn't even say "mail" is a real word? They correct it to email. Gah.) Also before you move, maybe build photo albums together, and a "Remember Me" box. A box where you collect your favorite memories from that place - letters, photos, leaves, etc. I hope those help, stay strong and look for the new opportunities!
