Advice Please!

I am getting three teeth pulled this afternoon. They're baby teeth that the Dentist says I should have lost by now. I hate going to the Dentist.

I have an event I want to go to tomorrow, but my parents say I probebly won't want to because my mouth will hurt. Anyway I hate the Dentist, but I need to get teeth pulled. And everyone says it's going to hurt. Do you guys know what I should do so that I'm maybe still in good enough shape to go to my event tommorow?

Hmmm. I hate the dentist also. I just recently got a delayed baby tooth pulled too, and as long as you get novacane or something like that, when the dentist is pulling it out, you don't feel anything. Just a slight amount of pressure, but there is nothing to do about that. Make sure that you stuff a wad of something in the place where the tooth was, to put pressure on the bleeding. The dentist will probably give you a peice of gauze to put in there.  After the bleeding stopped, and there was only a little, my gum hurt. Take some ibuprofin, or tylenol, and try not to eat on that side of your mouth. If there is swelling, make sure that your face is elevated when you sleep, or else it will just all resonate in one area of your face, and you will be even more miserable the next day. The blood vesels will have clotted fully by then, so no more bleeding, but that area will still be tender. Aside from pain meds, there really is'nt anything more to do. But you might want to listen to your parents, and decide, if the whole time you are at your event, and the only thing you focus on is your tooth, than the event is not going to be enjoyable. I've also heard that for some people, getting a tooth pulled could hurt worse, or be more difficut to get out, so it really depends on the actual pulling.  Wow. I sound like a dentist myself. *Shudders* Well, anyways, I hope this will help!
