So I'm a former CBer and I was in Arizona just recently. As you may or may not know, the Grand Canyon area is plastered — and I mean p l a s t e r e d — with Kokopelli merch!
And it made me sad because I remembered the magazine I used to love before that accursed Odyssey merge brutalized the format, turned it into a science class textbook, and put the muses out of work >:(
So let any Muse readers on this... Cricket... forum... (wow in hindsight this may not live past the Admin's hah) just. All take a moment to remember
Back... before 2015...
Oh g a h and now that I'm typing it here I'm remembering my days on the Chatterbox as a twelve year old and how I tried to check in a couple times all dramatic and GUYS I THINK I MIGHT CRY. I think I'm gonna post this under my original name actually because it's not even really a check back
Is anyone I knew still around anymore?? Are the admins still the same admins? Hi admins, regardless! Wow this has gotten rambly I'm like that especially now I guess

Hey Somebody!! I haven't seen you in a really long time. Yeah, I started getting MUSE a year or two ago, and my first magazine was literally the second-to-last one before they made the switch. I feel like I missed so much...I don't even get any of the inside jokes :(. Can you explain to me what the hot pink bunnies were? Just in remembrance?
Anyway, welcome back to the CB! I hope Shifting and Volcano still exist.

If I remember right, the hot pink bunnies were an ultimatum weapon that would end a violent cats vs. dogs debate? And are now feared™
Shifting and Volcano do still exist but as ideas that gather dust in the Character Closet™

Haha I was actually getting both Odyssey and Muse before the merge. But I've never been much of a science person so whatever family member that was paying for my subscription stopped paying for it. Those muses were brilliant. You got published in there once if I remember correctly, right? (I could tell it was you because Shifting and Volcano were mentioned.)
Gaah I wish you would stay but I guess you're not going to? Nice to hear from you anyway :D

Yeah, I did get published at least once in there,,, I miss those muses a lot
I may not stay that long but I'll probably check in periodically like this! That new Ominous adventure has piqued my interest as well so I'll at least follow that

Why, just why did they have to do that to Muse?!? And the new muses are okay, but still, I really miss the old muses. Anyhow, this has inspired me to go search for old Muse magazines! (Hopefully I'll find them!)

Hey Somebody. Remember me? Yeh I wers dert weird person ALL IN CAPS for no reason. I'm less random now, but I think my writing has (Greatly) improved. I think I was around here for quite a while now. Remember Capn' Read? John FQ is still hanging round but he never gets to posting. Capn' Read is back in the Ominous *Slaps mouth* Oops.
But probably everybody knew that. She's kind of back as Pied Piper. Wow, I feel sort of old now. I remember *Creaks back and assumes old voice* when people were talking and being dramatic about how 'ChatterBox just isn't the same and everyone is leaving and now I'm gonna leave'. I really didn't enjoy that. Y'see, it wasn't Chatterbox that chaged but the people in it. And so what? We're a lot less random than we used to be, but there's more quality in the writing rather than just 'AHHEEEE MOTORCYCLES WHEEEEE' stuff. Frankly there will always be and always was pros and cons to the 'newer' Chatterbox and the 'older' Chatterbox. It's just different. It's not better, but it certainly isnt worse. It help to think that it started out amazing and hasn't really changed. *Takes away old voice* So that's what's new fer meh.
I agree with you, Somebody, that Muse just isn't the same. I don't like it as much... it's sugar coating facts rather than eaving them into coool and interesting stories. It's boring and just not right now. I love Cricket and hope it doesn't go the Muse way.
