Weddings!!

My dad's family is really huge, so the weddings in it are always really cool.  (well, really any party with them is fun)  :)

Anyway, Who else thinks weddings are fun?  What do you like about them?  What was the last one you went to?  What's the next one you're going to?

I know this is extremely random... sorry.  I'm a little bored, and have been thinking about weddings a lot lately cause my cousin is getting married in a few days!!  EEEE!!!!  It's very exciting!!  Especially because, for the first time, for as long as I can remember, all of my cousins my age will be together!!!!  It's so exciting!!  Even the ones from Indiana are coming!!!!!

So anyway, odd thread, oh well!  :)

See ya!!

My favorite thing about weddings: food.

The last time I went to a wedding was a few days ago for my aunt's friend's little sister. (I know!) My cousin and I were at my Grandma's house already for a week, because we were doing this summer camp thing. All of a sudden on Friday, Grandma says, "Oh yeah, tomorrow, before Grandpa drives you back home, we're going to a wedding!" Keep in mind, my cousin and I had not anticipated this, and we had NO wedding clothes, but we scraped together something, and were the only people there not in a dress. It was kind of fun, though. There was this whole part at the reception where we were just sittling at a table for a really long time, with nothing to do. So I started to teach her some sign language (of which I have learned a lot in the past few months). Then we started pretending I was deaf, and she would sign random things at me, since I had only taught her about eight or so signs. (She would sign something like "Idiot dog dancing flat turtle" and then I would sign something like "Forever noodle" back.) Anyway, we convinced one of the waiter people that I was deaf, and it was really funny.

I like weddings. We had a wedding in our church about a year ago, and their first baby is due any day. :D:D:D And we have two friends getting married soon - one in August, the other on the 12th of September, three days before my birthday. Yeah, they're pretty cool.

Congratulations to everyone! I've only been to one, and I didn't actually watch the ceremony, but they sound like fun. My parents were married on September 13th, Emily! I guess that's a popular time of year for marriages.

I've only been to 1, when I was about 8. I was the flower girl - or half a flower girl, I shared this role with someone else. It was my grandmother's wedding (my grandfather died before i was born, and she was remarrying - would that make him my step-grandpa?).

I guess. At least you don't have an ex-step-grandmother, which is much more of a mouthful! But she's not that bad.
