Mbti types!

This is just a thread to talk about personality types. They're so interesting to me!

So, what's everyone's Myers-Briggs personality type? I am an ENFP!

I'm an INFP. When I took the Myers-Briggs test I got around 96% feeling! Appearently I rarely think.

Um, is there a way to take the test without having to pay 50 bucks?! I found lots of websites with personality tests, but only one Myers-Briggs, and they told me, "Discover the YOU. The cost is 49.99 plus tax. Pay now."

Just look up "myers briggs free" and there should be a few.

Look up "16 personality test-" and hopefully that will bring you to a site that lets you take the test for free. At least, that's what it did for me.

I'm also an ENFP-but I haven't retaken the test in a while, so I'm not totally sure.

I'm an INFP-T.

Introvert 86%

Intuitive 85%

Feeling 60%

Prospecting 81%

Turbulent 79%

Pretty accurate.

Thank you, Joan and HAB! I just took the test a few moments ago and found out that I am a:

ISFJ-T, the Defender? Huh. I'm also 96% introverted, which only leaves 4% of me extroverted. Wow. And apparently the Defender is rare, but I'm sure they say that for everyone.

I took the 16 Personalities test two years ago and got INTJ-T. After retaking it today, I am a ENFJ-T. Hmmm...

The more recent results have me as being 54% extroverted, 59% intuitive, 65% feeling, 56% judging, and 92% turbulent (as opposed to assertive).

I'm an esfp-t, which is "the entertainer." it somewhat fits me but there's also a lot of stuff that's wrong. obviously, these things aren't totally accurate. there aren't only sixteen types of people, after all.

Oh my gosh, that's totally perfect. xD

I've taken the test twice. Once I got ENFJ-T (the protagonist), and the other I got INFP-T (mediator). I read through both profiles and I think ENFJ fits me much better overall— a bunch of things were scarily accurate— though I do relate to some things about the INFP personality type. I don't know why I got two such different results, but I think it might have had something to do with the mindset I was in when I took the test.

I'm an INTJ-A.

I would recommend the 16 Personalities test. It's free, and combines the best of the Meyers-Briggs and Jungian Tests. I would also recommend the Enneagram as a complimentary test. It deals less with more superficial behavior, and delves into your deeper psyche. I found it more eerily accurate than 16 Personalities.

The problem I have with the straight-up Meyers-Briggs is that it's too general, and tries to include too much information, which tends to make it inaccurate. Another problem with personality profiles is that people do a lot of self-identifying. Like somebody reads an INTJ profile, and interprets it as "You're a supergenius!" and identifies with that, even though they're missing the entire picture, and are most likely not an INTJ.

And Introversion has become popular recently. But it's just a mode of life. It has pros and cons just like Extraversion, and it's not that rare. So, when somebody says they're an Introvert, I tend not to believe them until I see how they actually behave.

Hey, Admins! I saw you didn't include a portion of my above comment. Was it inappropriate or hurtful? I didn't think so, but I may be wrong.

Hi @Esthelle, while the gist of your comment wasn't inappropriate, we removed a few lines that we felt were meanspirited and might hurt others' feelings. Perhaps you didn't intend it that way, but sometimes things that sound good in your head, or in a conversation with friends, can come off as harsher than you mean when others read them in an online forum.

Thanks for responding, Admins! I didn't mean any harm by my comment, which was a general opinion rather than a condemnation. But I see that it could be misconstrued, and I'll try to be more careful in the future.

You are welcome! Thank you for helping us make the CB a friendly and welcoming place.
