Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Okay, this may

Okay, this may be an odd request but:

I need music recommendations!!

The only music I listened to up until the beginning of this month was Classical, on the local radio station. But since then, I have been completely absorbed into music. I listen practically 24/7. Unfortunately, all my favorites have grown old. So now I need advice from my wonderful friends on the CB!!!

I'm into a more romantic style of music right now; I listen to the soundtrack from Moana, Beauty and the Beast, Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Curious George movies (; ) Don't judge me, Jack Johnson is awesome!!). So things like that?? Does anybody have any ideas?

Well, it's not the style of music you said you're into at the moment, but i would definately reccomend Imagine Dragons (I, uh, might be kinda obsessed with at the moment, but...Anyway!)

*rubs hands together* Time to consult... The List.

Pentatonix is good, you've probably heard of them. You might also want to look up Walk Off the Earth; they do a lot of covers, but they're really creative about it. And now, off groups and onto songs.

OOH! OOH! WE HAVE THE SAME MUSIC TASTES! So I can definitely help you out. Hmm, let's see... Marvel music is always great, just look up an hour long compilation or playlist and you'll be in good shape. Also, the band/youtube group Two Steps From Hell is amazing. They sound really dark and goth, but they're not at all. What they make is instrumental epic music, like what you'd hear in an adventure movie. I highly recommend them. :) Also, Escape Artist by Zoe Keating is a beautiful piece of cello music, also highly recommended. Hmm... The Outlander Theme Song is amazing as well, but it's only a minute long...

Oh my gosh, other people who listen to soundtracks! Whenever people ask me about what music I listen to I tell them that I don't really listen to music, even though this isn't true: I listen to soundtracks. But most people don't consider that a music genre, so I thought I was just some sort of weird musical anomally. But there are others out there like me! The CB is the only place I ever would have discovered this. Have I mentioned how much I love this place?

Ok, so I love, love, love the Sherlock soundtrack. It's absolutely amazing, I love it. As I've said. The Fantastic Beasts soundtrack is also epic; I took my gymnastics floor music from it because I like it so much. For some music with words I've randomly started really liking My Chemical Romance- not sure why. Possibly because the way they sing sounds like an instrument. I didn't really understand why the human voice is called an instrument until I heard Black Parade. My friends are teasing me that I'm going through my emo middle school phase several years late, but they're the ones who introduced me to them!

Thank you, everyone!! I will have to try these out. However, I guess I should mention: Unless I buy each individual song from iTunes, I don't have access to the, erm, individual song. I listen to all my music on an iPod Nano, so it has to be downloaded from iTunes where it's bought, or from a CD. I got most of the music I listen to now from the library? So I guess I mean that I'm looking for more group recommendations than the songs by themselves.

Dear Evan Hansen soundtrack is the BEST, if you haven't listened to it yet. Although, you might have to look up the plot to fully get it. *pokes head in* Did somebody say... Dear Evan Hansen? *starts singing enthusiastically* Don't mind Celeste, she's just a musical nerd. Takes one to know one! Guilty as charged. *joins in singing*

Can you access online sites from your iPod? That could be another option. But some iPods have access, some don't, and I'm not familiar with Nanos. (I have an iPod touch.)

I recommend the Matilda soundtrack! I'm not a huge soundtrack person but that's one I absolutely love.

That's not -

I forgot about two of the ep.

Anyway, IDK if I can help, the music I listen to is either upbeat, depressing, or both. I do some decomposing myself, turning video game music to orchestral.

No, iPod Nanos don't connect to the internet, unfortunately. But I think that I may come into possession of some iTunes gift cards fairly soon *cough cough*mybirthday*cough cough*, so I'll probably end up buying most of these songs, which is fine. I just didn't want it to cost me a fortune to have good music to listen to. : )

@Top- XD That's hilarious. But not exactly my... genre. ; )

@The Writer- Wow, that's cool! Thanks anyway, I guess.

Hmm... I’m not really into romantic music, but Jordan Sweeto does have some rock-pop heartbreak songs.
