Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Aloha, darlings, here

Aloha, darlings, here comes BETH!!!!!!!!! (Or ElizaBETH if you prefer. Or Liz. Or Eliza. Have you ever realized how many variations you can make out of Elizabeth?) Anyhoo, onto sweet and exciting things! Ummm... now we'll see how many sweet and exciting things I can think of! Um, I like the color purple. Oooh, and teal. Teal is so cool. And I like coleslaw. Not the gross mayo thick kind, but the lovely, refreshing vinegar sugar kind. Yes ma'ams (or sirs), it sounds weird but it is incredibly delicious. Now on to more exciting stuff! Favorite booksie of mine would be... Torn Thread by Anne Isaacs. Good book about 2 girls in a Nazi camp. 'Tis very sad, but also happy. Good book, read, read, read. I LOVE FRESH BREAD! YA! 3 cheers for it! Not that gross, dry packaged generic stuff, but the yummy fresh bread from bakeries and stuff. I hate cooking. I love, LOVE, the results, but having to do all of the dishes makes it awful. So I prefer to have one of my many sisters do it. I also like to run. But not just "running" run. I like to play soccer and run. Running by itself is fantastic exercise, but also quite boring (no offense to any runners out there, I completely admire your dedication to be able to run). Run. Run. Run. Run is such a funny word. Run. RUN! Anyhoo, better get going now! Bye bye my darlings!

Hi Beth!  You sound very energetic!!  I've also read Torn Thread, (I'm kinda a historical fiction freak)  and I liked it.  My family just recently bought a bread machine.  IT does everything for us, and the result is amazing.  We eat the bread right when it comes out.  So good!!  Best bread ever!!!!  I play soccer, too!  Welcome!!!! :D :D :D :D

I'm just like you when it comes to running!!! I don't like running really long distences, like cross country or anything, but I LOVE soccer! i agree, fresh bread is SO good! I want to read Torn Thread, WW11 books are always so good. And exciting. And sad. :( I kind of like sad books though, the ones that make you cry, as long as I don't feel depressed at the end! :D I LOVE PURPLE TOO!

PURPLE RULES!!!!!!!! SO DOES SOCCER!!! And, WWII books do too! But, like you said, they are very, very sad. But also like you said, sad books are good. WWII books also make you appreciate what you have. I would recommend them to anyone!

Oh, thank you so much for the WW11 books! I've been looking AAAAAAALLLLL over our local library for some and haven't been able to find any except for Torn Thread. Now I can just type 'em in on the computer there and it will show me exactly where they are! YAY!!!!!!!!!! My birthday is June 23!!! So I turned 13 less then a month ago! Ahh, I loved being 12. Although theres not much difference between the two. But I still loved 12.... YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you ever read Where the Red Fern Grows? That was probably the only book I've ever read that  left me depressed at the end. Oh, and Brisingr. But that was just because I really liked the two characters the author killed.

No I haven't! But now I want to. OK, I guess I don't mind that much if I'm depressed at  the end honestly. I love it when I start crying. I don't know why, but I just do. Have you guys ever read a book where the main character does something embarassing and you have to close the book for a second because YOU'Re so embarassed?? :)

Where the Red Fern Grows is SUCH a sad, but fantastic book. I cried at the end! I actually listened to it on tape instead of reading it. Good book, good book.

Welcome Beth! I also heard that Betty is short for Elizabeth. My mom makes fresh bread every morning; it's wonderfull. She made French bread the other day and it was the best bread I've ever had! I enjoy running as fast as I can for about 30 seconds. Then my knees give out and running hurts. What is your favorite shade of purple? I like the rich royal purples. I hope you stay here in Chatterbox Land!

Fresh bread every morning???? You are SOOOOOOO lucky!!!!! Yuum... I want some french bread now!!!! I'm like you about running for 30 seconds. You could say I was a sprinter, I guess, not a loooong distance runner! My favorite shade of purple is light, lavender shades, but I also like the rich, royal kinds like you! I like all shades of purple!!!!!
