Wow! I can't believe I'm older than a few of you guys! I'll be going into 7th grade. 5th grade is a lot of fun. It was a big year for me, because where I live, 5th grade is the first year of middle school. It was a lot of fun, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it too.

Well, let's see...(Wow 5th grade was a while ago I don't remember that much)  Make sure you don't make a fuss over annoying people, that's something I did a lot and got in trouble for.  Also, do your work and don't spend all your time drawing dumb pictures like I did, just make sure you get all your work done and be a good team player.

Oh and if your friends go and hang out with other people (I'm looking at you, Leah Strapman), just go find other people to hang out with. Thanks, Logan, Gavin, and Oliver.

Wow, I feel kinda old now...

I'm going into High School soon and I'm nervous just like you! My High School has 4 floors and over 200 classrooms. The best tips that I have are...

- Prepare for 5th grade over the summer. Ask your mom, dad, etc. to help you review key terms for the classes you'll be doing this year. My mom is helping me with a reading and math review, and it really helps! And it doesn't have to be super long practices either, only for a half hour to an hour. It'll also help you adjust when you eventually go into high school because my high school is giving me mandatory math and reading work that I need to have done by the first day of school!

- Make a good impression! On your first day, make sure to greet all of your teachers with a "hello" and a "good morning," along with a smile. Even if your teacher is mean, they'll know that you are a good student.

- Buy practice books and make flashcards of some basic math, reading, and science terms to review before math starts. It'll help!

I hope this was helpful, good luck!
