Pets? Tell about

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Pets? Tell about

Pets? Tell about your pets! Past or present, doesn't matter! I have two dogs. One is called Paul and is my brother's dog. The other is Darby and is mine. Darby is a west highland white terrier. Paul is a Corgy (sp?) terrier mix. I love Darby and Paul, but Darby especially. We also have a cat. He is mine too. His name is Pipkin, and he is white and grayish black, with an extremely long tail. We also have plenty more, but that would give me away on the SI thread. (hint.) Also, I am currently rabbitsitting for my cousins. She is very fat, with long ears and a freckly brown face. And only three months old! (the rabbit, not the cousin!) She is going to be a very big bunny!

Pipkin - great name, that! May I use it in a story? Por favor? And I've ranted about Lou often enough to get out of doing it here. :D So, unless you count my brother as a pet, which, since he's older than me, you probably wouldn't, that's all for me already...

I have a sweet little kitty named Pudding, and two swordtail fish named Topaz and Montoya. Montoya is named after Inigo Montoya in the Princess Bride, because Inigo dedicated his life to swordplay so he could defeat the man who killed his father, and my fish has such a long swordtail. (That was confusing!:)

JFB didn't make up the name Pipkin, it came from a really good book called Watership Down. Let's see...

I had a Black Lab named Cole, but he died. Then we got another dog named Sheena. She's mostly German Shepherd, but not completely. We think she has some Labrador and Husky in her. I still have her to this day. Later on, I got 2 goldfish (Emily and John) and a snail (Martha). Then, I got another snail (Sam) and an African Dwarf Frog. I named the frog Sean, but then I found out how to tell the difference between male and female frogs, discovered Sean was female, and changed her name to Shyanne (don't ask). Shyanne is still alive. Then Sam died, then Martha, then I got another frog (Mary), then Mary died, then I got another frog (Lano), then he died, then I realized that Mary and Lano had had a disease, then Shyanne got the disease, then I started trying to cure it, then Emily died, then I got another fish (Sadie), then I got 9 baby snails (I didn't name them because they looked identical, although only 1 is still alive), then John died, then some of the baby snails died (all except for 3), then Sadie died, then the snails grew up, then I got a gerbil (Midnight), then I got 2 more fish (Joshua, who's still alive, and Sedna), then Midnight died, then we finally cured Shyanne completely of her disease, then we got another gerbil named Zelda (who's still alive), then Sedna died. That's all the pets I've ever had - quite a lot, really. Keep in mind that this happened over many years.

I love Water Ship Down! Actually, we didn't get the name from there, we got it from a british T.V. show, but I know there is a rabbit named that. I most certainly did not make it up myself.

Heh. As I and my dad are allergic to dogs, and my mum is allergic to cats, the only pets I've ever had is a tank of goldfishies that I won at a Japanese festival in SC. Most of them met "tragic ends", and the last couple were left with some friends when we moved. :(

One was eaten, several just plain died I dont know why, etc. I'm considering getting a fish or two sometime, if my parental units will let me.............

Random fact of the day: I'm starting school tomorrow, it's an online school thingy. GRR, MOM, WHY DO I NEED TO START SCHOOL THIS EARLY!?

Wait... One was eaten? And you don't have any other pets? Does that mean someone in your family ate your fish? Or did you keep them outside, so it was eaten by a wild animal?

No, no NO! It was eaten by the other fish in the fish tank when we were at a piano camp. When we got home all that was left was the skeleton and some scraps of skin and flesh stuck to it. We didn't leave enough food in the tank before we left, I guess.

@Egi: Actually, I'm enjoying my work (I'm doing an online school this year) and my teacher is very nice. Plus all the work is fairly easy. I finished most of this week's work yesterday and went over some more stuff today, and am starting next week's stuff as next week I have German Fest in the mornings. The teacher said my math was perfect! *is very proud* I luvs math and always have!

Actually, I don't watch television either. In fact, we don't have any T.V., so that's not an option for me. I mean, we have a T.V., but the channels have been turned off for like four years. We can watch movies and stuff. The show I was talking about was a series on dvd we got.

We kept our TV in the garage for years and got it out only to watch the Olympics and such like. When we started homeschooling and used video lessons, though, we had to get a new one. Part of my parents keeping the TV in the garage is that they really liked Star Trek but didn't want to watch it cause it's, well, traumatic for small children. :D

Okay, we have seven cats: Fluff, Rosie,

Baby, Little Mister, Tigger, Socks, and Sassy

(not including the strays... :\ ). And four dogs:

DJ, Jake, Hershey, and Buddy. And *sniff*

the ones that died: our dog, Denny; my brother's

hermit crab, Herman; our dog, Buster; our

neighbor's dog that practically lived at our house,

Puppy (they had named her Daisy, but I got into

the habit of simply calling her Puppy XD . It suited

her...); our dog, Sadie; and my brother's hamster,

Brutus.

I also used to have a beautiful FAT cat named Mickey, but we had to put him down last summer. :( :( :( Oh, and Topaz was mysteriously found dead the day after I wrote that, after living a two month life with me. More :( :( :(
