Ae NameYah,

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Ae NameYah,

Ae Name

Yah, Jwyn, thanks for reminding me, I have a very potential AE, and they need a name. They are the embodiment of my confusion and unsureties. Here's what I wrote as notes at the time:

They are in a constant state of flux. Nothing about them is permanent. They are forever changing, fluid, and uncertain. They are the embodiment of my perpetual confusion about everything, especially myself. They're rather insecure as a result.

I'm having trouble figuring out what they're name is. Help?

Thing is, because they're so indefinite, no name is sticking. Any suggestions?

Oh yeah, water in Hebrew is Mayim (you could change the spelling-- pronounced mah-yeem, but you sort of don't pause between the ah and the eem sounds, so maybe more like maeem-- the spelling is really flexible, see!)

Yah, I’m decent at Hebrew pronounciation. Thanks tho. Mayim is a good possibility, and it’s a rather unique word as well. It’s permanently in plural, there’s no singular of it.

Oh, sorry, I didn't know. Didn't mean to sound haughty or anything. Good point about the plural, though.

How about something changeable? Like how Neko always has a different second name. Or just something with a lot of nicknames, like Charlotte—Char, Charlie, Lottie, Lot. For that I also found Evangeline, Penelope, Elanor, Isabelle, William, Robert, Genevieve, Alexander or Alexandra, Katherine, Anastasia, and Charles, and thought of all the many, many derivations of Nike (Greek goddess of victory, now more commonly known as a clothing brand). But Flux is really nice.

This reminds me of a character from the webcomic Sister Claire, Magpie. Maggie is gender-fluid, has vitiligo, is always on the road, and can turn into a magpie. I think they once described themselves as never having been good at being just one thing at a time. Very cool.

The changeable idea is rather ingenious, though I wouldn’t wanna steal Neko’s signature, so. And nicknames... Awesome as well, if I could find a name that worked
