Chatterbox: Down to Earth

I just landed

I just landed a front flip on something other than my butt!!!!! I was on the trampoline, doing flips, when I suddenly found myself on my hands and feet. I have to learn how to keep my balance and stuff so i can land on my feet. Not my HANDS and feet.

LOL. XD I like doing front flips on the

trampoline, too! But unfortunately I can't

land them either... :\ I say as long as you

don't land on your head (like my little brother

once did, haha ;D ) you're moving in the right

direction.

Cool, Meadow.  I actually learned a while ago how to land a flip on my feet.  I even videotaped myself to see what I was doing wrong.  And once I figured it out, everything else came easy and I could land it consistently over and over.

Try jumping very high, landing on your knees, pushing off of your knees and THEN flipping.  I actually learned that, the 'knees flip' after a regular flip.  But that might come first for some people.

What you're doing, I think, being the expert I am (just kidding), is flipping a little too fast.  Maybe slow it down a bit if that's possible, by not squeezing yourself into a 'ball' so tightly.

I hope this helps, somewhat!!! :D

Thanks, R~D~!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I think that the problem was that I stopped leaning forward a little too soon.

I've been able to land a front-flip for a couple years, now.

Good job!! :):) I can only do a back flip on my trampoline, not a front flip... :(

Good for you! As for me, I get hurt trying to do a belly flop. A flip probably isn't a good idea.

Same here. Plus, I don't really like going upside down. :(
