Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Does anyone think

Does anyone think that the world around you can be polluted and beautiful too? at my home star B1267 (aka one of the stars in ursa minor) my people work as hard as they can to make sure that the world around them is as beautiful and unpolluted as possible, but I think that we should stop and look around before we start whipping ouurselves into a frenzy about global warning or endangered animals or whatever is going around at that time and take a minute to look at the world around us and appreciate it while it lasts.

Of course we should appreciate the world around us but by standing idly by everything we are looking at will turn into a polluted wasteland devoid of life and beauty. If we simply do nothing there will be nothing to appreciate and I think by enjoying it while it lasts you are giving up and saying that you're okay with how the planet and everything on it will turn out. By "whipping ourselves into a frenzy" about important environmental issues we are ensuring that something will be done about them - that we will continue to have something to appreciate in the future.

I agree with both Spell Caster and Star Kitten... Sorta.

We do have to take care of the planets we live on, but we also have to note that animals and plants have adapted to the environment's changes, and so we should take cleaning up slow and steady, if you catch my drift. :)

I think I agree with Rogue. We most certainly do have to take care of our planet, as Spell Caster said, but like Rogue said, we should be careful with our planet fixing too. If we go too fast, we may damage the planet even more. After all, slow and steady wins the race.
