ONE OF MY

ONE OF MY FRIENDS GOT HIT BY A CAR!!! My mom just found out/let me know, she got hit walking to school on her first day apparently. She was in my ballet program, and though we weren't very familiar with each other, we knew each other pretty well. She won't be coming to ballet for a while, that's for sure. My mom was asking me if I knew ____ and I'm like, oh you mean __? Yeah, she's really tall, 13-14 years old, and was one of the Candy Canes in last year's Nutcracker, and for a couple weeks last year she was in my class before she got moved up. Why? And then Mom told me she was hit by a car, and I'm like, WHAT!? __ WAS HIT BY A CAR!?!?!?! So yeah. I just can't believe it.

Oh, geez, that sucks. Car accidents suck. I hate car accidents. Is she ok? Or at least not in critical condition?

I've actually never known anyone who got hit by a car (at least not personally) but one of my friends, Jasmine, was in an accident in which they managed to roll the car and she was ejected and the doctors thought she wouldn't ever be able to walk again... She can now, with braces and sometimes crutches... And then another friend rolled a car while drifting and she was ok (seatbelt), but a passenger had to be life flighted...

Ugh. I hate cars.

I'll keep her in my prayers, definitely.

Umm, TNO.... *cough cough* when someone's in pain or shock, horror stories are not the way to go.... Why is that the immediate response of most people? I have to remind so many of my friends of that.

Oh, I'm really sorry, Jenni. That's awful... I'm not good saying stuff in these situations but I want to let you know I'll be thinking of you and your family and the girl and her family... and I'm sorry if this sounds corny.

Gosh, Jenni. I'm really sorry. Tell us how she's

doing, okay? :( Well, she'll be in my prayers, and

I hope she's doing alright.

Oh my gosh, that's horrible. Will she be okay in the long run? I'm definitely praying for her too.

Yeah. There's some stuff about her on the internet, and I quote "The doctor says she will bounce right back, at her age it's not that critical." So ya. I don't really know her that well, but it's just shocking. I know how much she loves dancing, though, and she must be pretty down about not being able to dance for a while. *goes and looks* after she got hit, she was carried (?) 50ft by the impact (I think that's what it says). *is in state of shock* all of a sudden people I know are getting into accidents....recently my cousin and uncle were out in some woods, in their four-wheeler, and the four-wheeler flipped over. Luckily, my cousin wasn't hurt badly, but my uncle, *winces* well his leg got real broke, like a section of the bone entirely shattered. waah. Now I freak out whenever I'm in the car and happen to think about any of that stuff.

Oh, I'm sorry! I don't know what to say that everyone else hasn't said, but I will pray for her. Good thing she wasn't killed!

The night before you wrote that I had a nightmare about a girl getting hit by a car, and I never have nightmares. Weird, that. I'm really sorry, and I'll pray for her. I hope it's not too bad - let us know what happens.
