*sigh* Our fridge

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

*sigh* Our fridge

*sigh* Our fridge is doing weird things. Like, we keep turning up the meter that tells you how cold it will be, but if anything, it's getting warmer in there!!! After I got home today from going to the grocery store and Quizno's (yum!) I got a glass of milk. I took one swig. It was horrible!!! I wish I'd spit it out, cuz now I'm afraid that I might get food poisoning. And it wasn't even cold. I dumped the rest out, and now I'm not drinking milk. I had a cookie, but I couldn't have any milk with it, because I'm afraid that the milk's just not going to stay cold. I had to have tangerine/strawberry juice. I just want to drink a big glass of cold milk!

:( Drink a lot of water. I don't think you'll be food poisoned, but water can help with that, I think.

Bleh. We had the same  problem a few months

ago... :\ Thankfully, the repair person could fix

it. He got it running in just a few days. Maybe

they can fix your's soon, too. I hope you can get

your glass of cold milk soon, Elizabeth! ;D

I'm pretty sure sour milk won't give you food poisoning, Elizabeth, so don't worry.

Okay, this is off-topic, but, Admin, are you really at Basin Street? As in New Orleans?

Nope, not really. It just popped into my head because of the two New Orleans posters hanging in our den/office. They were a gift from a friend. I'm sorry to say I've never even been to N'Awlins. But I do know "Basin Street Blues."

Admin, really on Argyle Road

Well, yesterday my mom put all the stuff that is perishable (milk, meat, butter, etc.) into a portable cooler with cold packs. I won't get food poisoning from milk, but I don't know about other things.

If you're worried about food poisoning, (I know this sounds gross, but it works)  Drink a tablespoon of vinegar, it will insure you won't get it.  :)

I'm really sorry.  Last year,  our electricity was out for a fortnight because of Hurricane Ike. It was horrible. Not only did our refridgerator not work...

Oooh... like Emily said, that stinks. Our fridge kind of leaked once so whatever you put underneath the leaky spot got covered in water.

Yay!!! We're getting a new fridge! I haven't seen it yet, but my mom says it's stainless steel on the front and black on the other sides. It has an icemaker, but we're not gonna hook water up to it for a while because it costs extra money that we don't have. ;-) It gets here Saturday, the same day as my first Nutcracker practice!

About fridge: Yay! I'm glad you get to have a new one soon!

Abot various other things: You're doing The Nutcracker? I used to take ballet, but now I take guitar and basketball. <3 It's all about what you like.... and are able to do without tripping over your own ballet slippers..... ;o)

Our orchestra is doing The Nutcracker with dancers  in December! I'll play violin.

I would love to be in the Nutcracker or something like it, but I'm not an incredible dancer, and I'd rather have things to say. I'm hoping to audition for Aladdin in November. I'm glad your fridge is getting fixed!

Grrrr! Home Depot is being really rotten! They keep having problems, so now we might not get to have the fridge until Monday or something!!!! Augh! Well, on the positive side, we're probably going to eat out more often until then. 3:(:)) <::::::::|==0
