So, did you

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

So, did you

So, did you guys do anything for Labor Day? Yesterday my family and I went to our neighbor's yearly "pig roast". Which was very easy to get to, because they live within walking distance from our house. ;D I didn't eat any of the pig (bleh), because it... doesn't look very appetizing to me. But it was fun, I guess. Lots of people, mostly strangers. Lots of kids running around. And lots of loud music that would be a serious issue if we didn't live in the country. But, still, it was fun. :D

Um... we don't really celebrate things like that.  But, my dad did have the weekend free for once, so on Friday we went for a hike, and I nearly collapsed (literally), and then yesterday we went to SF for a picnic on the beach.  It was really foggy.  Then we drove around for a bit and walked down Telegraph Hill, and then drove around for a few hours, and then we went to an awesome used book store, and then we drove to Corde Madera and ate at Max's and then we came home.  Good day, good day.

Wait, isn't today Labour Day? ...oh wait, it's LD observed. Sorry.

Like Laura, we don't really do anything for Labour Day... tomorrow we start school though. o.O Yay... not really...

Pig roasts are fun. :) The pig's actually pretty good, though I give you that it does look kind of... unappetizing. ;)

Well, we've gone to the annual Sparks Rib Cookoff, which is very cool and very noisy and messy and sticky (on account of the rib sauce on one's fingers). And.... that's all. We're doing school today, and I feel totally stupid in the realm of imaginary numbers translated into polar coordinates. Bad math day to celebrate Labor Day. I had to labor much harder than usual to get my homework done. *groans at miserable pun* But our grammar assignment is writing a folk tale, and that's a celebration in and of itself. *cheers*

Yesterday I went to a meeting for something called Spiral Scouts (like boy scouts and girl scouts, except with girls and boys).  I *tried* to learn a promise thing thats like a pledge thing.  And instead of holding up two or three fingers while saying it, we will just hold up our pinky finger and indext finger.  We could also do the peace sign thing.  And then I played a game that you held people's hands and had to untangle ourselves.  (That probably didn't make sense).  Then, after that, we* made corn bread and went to a friend's house.  There was a lot of playing on the trampoline and playing with fire.  And naming a hamster (Snickerdoodle).

*By "we" I mean my sisters and I.

"Playing with fire"? Now that doesn't make sense! Please tell us you didn't do anything dangerous.

Haha, Labor Day isn't a huge holiday for us

really, either. But we got invited to something this

year and some other people I know have picnics

and things on Labor Day so... *rambles on and on*

Oh, and yes, it was a whole pig. XD I'm sure it isn't as

bad as it looks, but I don't know if I could try it. ;)

Well, I got to see some of our town parade, and my mom and dad shopped for our new refridgerator! Then we had ribs and stuff for dinner. Very exciting. *voice is dripping with sarcasm, as usual*
