Motivation Thread!!

Motivation Thread!!

I've been wanting to make this thread for a while, because we all need some motivation right now, especially with a) school b) NaNo c) Covid d) all the crappy things that have happened this year, and e) all the other things that may be on your mind.

Basically, this thread is for motivating each other. Have three more classes left with the most boring teachers ever and desperately need help staying awake through them? This is your place. Got those 300 more words that you need to plug through to meet your NaNo goal? Get your motivation here. Feeling generally stressed and need someone to cheer you up? Look no further! We are HERE for you!

On this thread, fellow CBers will offer helpful tips, wise adages(?), and spread general happiness to help motivate each other.  I've been feeling desperate for some motivation to kickstart my writing in the past few days, and I figure some other people could use it too.

So, feel free to post on this thread whenever. I hope you have a fabulous day/night/time is relative, and let's get motivated!!

short motivational speech/paragraph/thing that isn't really sentimental but i mean it kinda helped me:

so imagine this. there's a person who wants to become famous through making videos. they make a plan, they study the algorithm, and they're ready and prepared. all of a sudden, an idea passes through–too small for big content creators to take note of, but this person takes that idea, and gets four viral videos on it, because they were prepared. they continue to build on this fame, and in less than a year, they've went from 10k subscribers to 12 million.

so that actually happened to someone. moral of the story is, opportunity is random, and there's nothing you can do about that. What you can do is be ready to take that oppurtunity. if you're prepared, if you've got a plan, when oppurtunity strikes, you'll be ready to use that to your fullest advantage.

:) stay motivated, and follow your dreams!

Okay, I have 500 words to write for NaNo today. I've been procrastinating all afternoon and haven't even started. Soooo I'm posting this for accountability. I'll post again if and WHEN I complete my goal for today. :)

I love this thread!

For writing, make sure there aren't any distractions near you. Try to make some time during your day to write. Use word sprints or word crawls if it helps, and if you need a confidence boost, PM someone on the YWP- we're more than happy to give some encouragement!

I believe in all of you! You're wonderful, creative people with more than enough drive and imagination to reach your goal. <3

This is a great idea! Um, so we have to watch a bunch of motivational videos in homeroom, because of something called Character Strong. And there was one video that I really liked.

So, there's a boy who walks into an ice cream parlor. He sits down, and a waitress comes up to get his order. He asks, "How much does an ice cream sundae cost?" The waitress tells him it's one dollar. He looks down at some coins in his hand, and asks, this time, "How much is just plain ice cream?" The waitress is getting rather annoyed (probably because the boy isn't looking at his menu) but she tells him it's 75 cents. The boy looks at his coins again, and says that he would like to order a bowl of plain ice cream.

The boy eats his ice cream, pays, and leaves.

Then, the waitress goes to clean up his seat. She looks down, and sees, sitting by his empty bowl, a quarter for her tip.

The End

Aww, that's so sweet <3 Thanks for sharing!

Quick mini pep-talk for no reason:

You are awesome!! Don't forget that you are loved and amazing and remember to never give up!

If anyone is feeling like they can't make a difference: YOU CAN! If it's small or big, you can make a difference in the world. If you give up or stop trying, you won't, though. So get out there and do stuff! Also, I saw a quote that I posted on NaNo but not here.: "Life is like a rainbow. You need both rain and sun to make iits colors appear." Of course, too much figurative rain isn't very fun, but you can get through it. Keep going.
