Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Fall! :)&nbs

Fall! :)

Today is the first day of fall! *dances* I love fall

(which you probably already knew by now...). What

kinds of things do you like to do in the fall? Any

traditions? Holidays? We (my family and I) take

lots of long drives when the leaves start changing...

Well, we do that year-round but it's more fun in the

fall (and at Christmas, too). We also roast marshmallows

more this time of year when it gets colder. And, of

course, there's Halloween. I doubt I'm going to go

trick-or-treating this year, but I still love to carve

pumpkins and tell ghost stories around that time. ;)

And Thanksgiving is really fun, too, which is one of

the only times we can get all of our family together in

one place. That and Christmas, anyway... So, yeah, I

s'pose you could use this as your "official fall thread". :)

Like I said before, traditions, holidays, anything fall-

related. Enjoy! XP

Fall is the Official Season of the Panic of Christmas-Gift Makers. This is when those of us who plan in June to handmake some five dozen Christmas gifts begin to go insane from stress. It's a hard season. :D

Fall = school, school = terrible.

Joking. Sorta.

In all seriousness, fall is fine... I guess. Um, let's see... on September 30th I'm serving a wedding (I'm an altar server) and they're lotsa fun. October, naturally, is Halloween, and Kathy (my friend) and I traditionally trick-or-treat together and then sleep over her house, so that's nice... Oh, and fencing restarts on Oct 13th *dances*. Finally. In November, once I reset everything up there's NaNo, and of course NM in theaters. *smirk* Kathy and I have an evil plot for that *rubs hands maliciously*...

So yes, I suppose autumn will be fun this year. XD

Wow! I'm not sure If I'm going trick or treating this year, my friend told me sorry because she was already going somewhere else, but I have another friend I could ask, but she told me she might not go trick or treating at all...but we COULD just hang out!

Unless all goes stupendously, I'm going to be chickening out of most of those.... Maybe opt out in favor of a nice little handmade card. *smiles sheepishly*

Ah, don't feel bad. Even though I love to give

gifts I hardly ever make them homemade, and

I can never get five dozen... :) *is still in wonder*

60 handmade Christmas gifts? *faints*

Anyway, I'm not trick-or-treating this year, but I will hand out candy wearing a costume. I usually go and visit my grandparents for Thanksgiving, which is good.

The main attraction of autumn for  me is cooling down. I hate summer heat, and it's horrible in Texas. I often feel jealous of the people who get snow in fall...

Yeah, I think it would be fun to just hand out

candy on Halloween, but we live too far out in

the country and no one ever trick-or-treats down

our street... *sniffle* Oh well. ;)

I love autumn time!  My sisters and I finished making the season tabel into autumn colors instead of summer colours.  My favorite Holiday is Halloween.  Not because of the candy.  I don'dt like Christmas.  My grandma gives me stuff that I don't want, or nead.  I don't really want anything, but she gets me stuff anyway.  Why can't she just not give me anything.  And Thanksgiving, I go to my aunts housre and do stuff.  And I don't roast marshmellows, nono, I don't eat marshmellows.  Oh, and in fall there's the Gift bizzare thing that my mom sells jewelry in.  Last time I had to vend a lot because mom had to go somewhere, forgot where...

Fall is my mom's favorite too.  I love it.  Sadly, the leaves don't really change much around here.  We have a lot of evergreens.  And the ones that aren't generally go quickly from yellow to brown, and then are gone.  Some trees though, like the Liquid Ambers are really gorgeous this time, they really turn red.  But I really want to go east some time in fall.

Here in WA, the colored leaves and many evergreens and glimpses of snowy mountains at times.... Mm, beautiful.  We hardly get snow here, though.  But last year was record snow all over WA.  WA was just having weird weather... record heat, record snow.... INSANE!  But I LOVE it!  Last year, I went sledding down my street. I live on top of a hill.  It was so fun!!  My neighbors made hot cocoa and we all sledded together.  Great times!

Haha, I keep forgetting you live in WA, because every time I see your name I think of my friend in NJ with your name that I told you about. :)
