Um. Hi? I’ve been gone for a REALLY long time :P so I’m not sure if anyone will remember me. I’m Dolphin, I discovered the CB a year and a bit ago, my pronouns are she/her, and I like fantasy, especially Rick Riordan. I have... one.. two.. ah yes four AEs and two captchas. How is everybody? Will someone who’s been here a while fill me in on the important stuff that happened? @Forest RP peeps, I’m terribly sorry! I just kinda left without saying anything, I’ll read through what I missed. Hi @Admin! How have you been?
Some things that have happened in my life while I’ve been gone: My kitten, Luna, turned one! My parents and grandparents all have both of their vaccine doses! I made some great friends! I started writing a bit more! I’m turning 14 in three days! There’s obviously been some bad stuff too, but I’d rather focus on the good stuff :) oh yeah! I’m probably going to public high school in the fall!
What are you all learning about in school? I’m learning about algebraic ratios and Ancient Greece and Rome.

Welcome back, Dolphin! It's good to hear from you again. We Admins are all fine and, I think, fully vaccinated. At least I am. This week many Chatterboxers have been saying that they are getting their first vaccine shots, too. Good news!

Dolphin! Hi! I'm not sure if you remember me at all, but I remember you :) sorry that sounded kind of creepy XD. Anyway, I've started writing more too, although it's still not very good. And it's great that both your parents and grandparents are vaccinated!! In school I'm learning about the human nervous system, algebra, and deaf culture/ASL. So nice to see you again!! <33
FYI, I saw online that a Spanish artistic swimming (synchronized swimming) team has prepared a program incorporating sign language for the summer Olympics. They had to adapt movements to be performed overhead out of the water, because the usual chest height would be underwater and not visible.

I love fantasy too!! Have you heard of the Keeper of the Lost Cities series? Luna sounds adorable, I have a cat who's... let's see... about a year and a half old now. Her name is Zahra.
I'm learning about the American Revolution and quadratics, the first of which I like, the second... not so much.

Hey Dolphin! I'm pretty new here, but I do remember seeing some of your posts in some old threads I read. It's great your back! Right now in school, my class is learning about finding percent for pie charts and converting them into degrees. We are also studying Canada and North America (why we waited until the end of the year to do this, I don't know. Before this, we were doing Russia), and all types of waves. I can't wait to see you around the CB!

I have no idea if you even know who I am, but I joined your Lion RP with Phantom? It was a great RP, by the way :) I was also in the Forest RP with you, remember Jeannie? Anyways, happy early birthday and welcome back! Congrats on your soon-to-be-vaccination (not on this thread, i've kinda been stalking Clem's "Got the COVID [vaccine]" thread XD)! I got my first dose on Friday and I've been pretty okay, other than a ridiculously sore arm :D

currently we're putting together a part II, but I've been really bad at keeping my commitment, I apologize, Quill and Cynthia. I'll post a draft on the Forest RP thread by Wednesday, hopefully!
In school, I'm working on a group project on climate change and its effects on people (as well as causes and solutions). I'm also currently doing algebraic inequalities in math, and I'm doing a reading project on the book Binti by Nnedi Okorafor, which was slightly unsettling to read but really good :) It's technically an adult novella but it's appropriate if you're okay with not-super-graphic violence and one instance of cursing. I'm writing three poems analyzing Binti's character arc throughout the story. (Poetry and analyzing don't belong in the same sentence, I apologize, but.) And... yeah! Soon I'll be starting history up again (for my school's hybrid model, we either are assigned science or history for a certain amount of time and that's the only subject we do in person, and then after the amount of time we switch to the opposite subject, and I've had science first).and I'll probably have a final project for that but I'm not sure what it'll be.
Also, @admins, congratulations on your vaccination :)
