back to the Down to Earth

Time to share funny baking stories! And I have a lot of them. I'm kind of an amateur so I mess up QUITE often. 

Just today I rummaged frantically around in the cabinets while holding a half-cracked egg, because the recipe called for beaten eggs but I had forgotten to get out a mug. 
About two months ago I mixed up baking powder and baking soda, which I'm honestly surprised that that was the first time. 
I once added a tablespoon of something (I forget what the ingredient was) instead of a teaspoon. 
And this one is my sister's, but she once added three times as much salt. We still tease her about that.

I think I've done that with the baking soda and powder, It was already after i had put in the butter so I had to spoon it out. RIP

Umm... well... I try to bake, but, not often. Especially because it's soooo hot! And of course my family started baking bread when lockdown hit... it was acually pretty good! But it took to much work/time so we just kept buying bread.

I know how to make a grilled cheese now! Took me 'bout 3 or 4 years just to get the COURAGE to convince myself that I WON'T set the house on fire.

I make REALLY good brownies, but don't put sprinkles IN the batter, 'cause when it bakes, they'll either turn invisible, or melt, and you won't be able to taste the things.

I kinda make good cookies, but when I first did it, IT WASN'T LIKE A PERFECT COOKIE IT WAS CRUNCHY AND NOT LIKE A COOKIE!!!!!!!!!!! That was me yellin' at myself, 'cause I con't make anythin' other than brownies, grilled cheese, and, possible, soup. From a CAN.

I'm a thirteen-year-old girl, who can't even make good cupcakes. They were GREEN! At least, i THINK I colored them green. Maybe it was a different color...

I can make a blolgnea (I don't know, I just gave up), mustard, American cheese (Or the cheese that's sliced, and kind of a orangy-yellow color), and mayo.

I LUV MAYO!!!!!

I recently made a really cool corn salad which actually tastes amazing! I even learned what Pecorino Toscano is. It's some kind of ewe's milk cheese.

Making some cookies, With melted butter, vanilla, and baking power, it looked a little bit like the coffe art they do with the lattes? I'll get a pic later
