CBer Colors

So, what do you picture CBers as colors? That was confusing, okay, um...

Synesthesia, I geuss. I think I have it mildly. It means when you experiance one of the senses, you also experiance another. Sometimes, that means associating colors with words/numbers/ETC...

IDK what else to say.

I geuss I have it only when I fully focus on a name. :\

Uhhhhh, have fun...?

Oooookay.  You are a psychic, Writing_in_the_dark.  Just a few hours ago I was thinking about this.  I've never heard of Synesthesia, and never really thought of it as a condition.  But... yes, absolutely, I definitely associate numbers & letters & words with colors! The letter C is yellow, the number 8 is a brown or a purple... Writing_in_the_dark, to me, is a storm-cloud gray and a creamy light brown.  My own CB name is a light sky-blue and a silvery white.  Shining Star is silver, Pancake is pink and light brown, Wildfire is black and a glowing rainbow, etc. etc.

The other day I was practicing Japanese and I heard the word for noisy.  Before I even knew what it meant, I thought, "hm, that sounds like white & brown."  (I also found it quite satisfying to say, so I was disappointed when I found out it meant noisy.)

I associate the number 2,004 with the city Athens, and 2,020 with crisis (COVID-19)

I usually think of their look. For example, when I see your name, I think of someone in a white /gray clock with short black hair that is slightly falling out of the hood, you can only see the lower part of their face, they are leaning forward and pointing a flashlight at you, and they are in a a pitch black attic. They are probably facing a mirror, so the light is reflected at them. Tsuki, I think of you with icy blue, shoulder length hair that looks like it is from anime, fox ears, pale skin, you are standing on a cliff next to a wolf. There are trees in the backround and a few clouds.

Yup. Although colors for CBers don't come to mind as much for me, every month of the year has a color (my sister and I had an argument over if May is purple or blue, and it is totally purple) and all the numbers have genders.

I remember there used to be an old thread like this! I'm so glad you revived it!

Writing_in_the_Dark: muted purple

Kitty Cat: rusty orange

Quill: navy blue

Tsuki the Skywolf: light silvery blue

Lupine: soft pastel yellow

Shining Star: bright pinkish purple

These are all I have time to do right now, but I'll add more later!

Oh I was just talking/thinking/writing about this the other day!! I typed up a whole word document that went in depth into the colors of the days of the week, because I have grapheme-color association synesthesia or something like that and days of the week have colors, and people have colors and days of the week that I associate with them. I won't give you the whole long thing, but here's the days of the week and their colors:

Monday--dark green, Tuesday--peach/pale pink/pale blue, Wednesday--dark purple/blue/indigo, Thursday--purple, Friday--green but brighter than Monday.

As I have been away from the CB for a little while ( :( ) it's harder to do it for CBers, but maybe after a little bit of getting used to it I'll be able to name your guys' days/colors :)))

I picture . . .

Tealeaf as kind of lavender

Tsuki the Skywolf as neon colors (maybe blue or yellow, changes depending on the day)

Jaybells as . . . not a tangible color, but the color of ephemeral? don't exactly know how to explain it

Silver Crystal as white gold (an alloy of mostly gold with a bit of platinum and/or silver)

Pancake as iron gray with a hint of honey

Myself (for fun) as the blue of fire, like on a gas stove
