I didn't even notice - I'd forgotten about that contest! Way cool! I like yours, RD, having done the same thing many times. I'm used to it now, but I've done my share of jumping at shadows and creaks. :D And Meadow's (told you it was awesome!) and Emily L., great poems! Clair, yours rocks. I love the way you take something ordinary and make it extraordinary - that's one of the things poetry is so good at. Congrats, everybuggy!

*singing* We are moving to the top.... *stopping singing* I don't usually do this, but some of the other winners might not realize it, same way I didn't, so up you go!

I did notice that!!!  It's so cool!!!  I loved all of the poems!  JFB won, too.  She wrote the Lady Rain song!  And I think Brynn did, too!    She wrote a haiku.  I don't know if it's her, but I just thought I'd say that, just in case.  And I think Hannah M. did.  And R~D~.  She wrote Nothing Happened.

Brynne, is your name.... not Brynne????  That's why I didn't mention your name, because I didn't know Brynne wasn't your real name!  You won 2nd prize?  Great poem!!!  You too, JFB.  :)

And now, everyone can know my real name. :)  Hee Hee.

It's not Brynne. :) I've actually placed well in a few other Cricket contests, been published in the Letterbox and in Favorite First Sentences if you're really interested. /bragging, sorry. Let's not say too much about my identity, though. Thanks!

I like your haiku, Brynne. This is my favorite ever:

Haiku are easy

But sometimes they don't make sense.

Refrigerator.

I got the new issue of Cricket a few days ago, and I, ahem, can't find it! ): I can't beleive I lost it!!!!! And it might be my last issue because my mama's thinking about getting Cicada instead. But I want to stay with Cricket. And Cicada only comes 6 times a year!
