Wordle Thread

A place to talk about Wordle. If you didn't know, Wordle is a game in which you have six guesses to find a five-letter word. The word is different every day. Each guess, it tells you which letters are in the right place (green) which are in the word but in the wrong place (yellow) and which are not in the word at all (gray)

Try not to spoil the day's word! You can post your scores though.

There are also Wordle variations, which are just as fun.

- Dordle, Quordle, Octordle, and Sedecordle: You’re trying to guess two, four, eight, or sixteen (respectively) words at once, instead of one, and you have seven, nine, thirteen, and twenty one  (respectively) tries to do so.

- Pawrdle: The day's word is related to pets or animals.

- Heardle: I've never actually tried this one, but you’re trying to guess a song name and artist from a small clip of it. Each wrong guess you’re given a bit more of the song.

- Evil Wordle: Every time you guess, the word changes, but it can't violate anything that came before! Similar to Absurdle.

- Nerdle: Similar, but you’re guessing a math equation instead of a word.

- Globle: You’re guessing a country, and each guess, it highlights the country in a shade of red denoting how close the mystery country is.

Globle sounds a bit like Worldle, which is where you see a silhouette of a country in black, and you guess what country it is. You get six guesses and for each it tells you how far it is from the country, and in what direction.

There is also Semantle, which is where you guess a word, but it's based on definition, not spelling. You get unlimited guesses and is very hard.

Spelling Bee and Letter Boxed and the Mini are also all free word games on New York Times, and I like to play those.

I also play Sudoku and Tiles, on the same platfrom, but they aren't word games.
