Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Thanksgiving thread!  :)

Thanksgiving thread!  :)  All right.  Answer my five Thanksgiving questions!  :)

1. What are you most thankful for this Thanksgiving?

2. What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving?

3. Who cooks the Thanksgiving dinner?

4. What is the best thing to eat on Thanksgiving?

5.  And The best dessert?

My answers:

1. I am so thankful for my family.  Especially my mom, who is also my wonderful teacher.

2.  My favorite part is definitely eating.... more like STUFFING MYSELF.  And the fact that we get sparkly cider!

3. My dad.  He is a MASTER chef.  :)

4.  Hmm... I love stuffing with gravy!

5.  Pumpkin pie!! YUM.

I like this thread!  :)  Great idea R~D~  :) :) :)

1. What are you most thankful for this Thanksgiving?

I'm thankful that I'm finally fulfilling one of my dreams, singing.  :)

2. What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving?

Seeing my family.  Almost everyone goes to my aunt Betty's house.  One time we had 80 people, and most of them were family.  There were maybe five friends.  :)

3. Who cooks the Thanksgiving dinner?

My aunts.  And they're good too.  :D

4. What is the best thing to eat on Thanksgiving?

Well, it depends, I like a lot of things, though, since I'm veggie, there's not a HUGE variety.  I think it really depends on what is being served.

5.  And The best dessert?

Same here, though I have to agree, pumpkin pie sure sounds good.  :P  *pies*

1. What are you most thankful for this Thanksgiving? The phenomenally stable home life that God has given to my brother and me, with all the opportunities that come with it.

2. What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving? Erm. Thanksgiving isn't the biggest holiday we celebrate - last year we had soup. Leftover soup. :D I would say the relief of wholesome decorations on other people's houses after Halloween. I do not like Halloween.

3. Who cooks the Thanksgiving dinner? See above about the soup. :D

4. What is the best thing to eat on Thanksgiving? Soup. I'm actually not fond of turkey. Ok, cranberry sauce, not soup. I like cranberries.

5.  And The best dessert? Erm again. I don't know . . . . pumpkin pie isn't bad, but it's not my favorite.

1. What are you most thankful for this Thanksgiving?

Things that've gotten better since last Thanksgiving. A year ago I was really overstressed and miserable. Half my fault, for overworking myself, but dear sweet fifth grade teacher played a part too.

2. What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving?

Er... leaving the relatives' house and going home?

3. Who cooks the Thanksgiving dinner?

Aunt Lori. She is fantastic.

4. What is the best thing to eat on Thanksgiving?

Enh... depends on what's being served, I guess. *shrug*

5.  And the best dessert?

Well... anything, I guess.

:)

1. What are you most thankful for this Thanksgiving?

I'm thankful for everything in my life that some people aren't fortunate enough to have. Great friends, a wonderful family, and even the material things like a house and clothes.

2. What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving?

My favorite part of Thanksgiving is getting together with all my family and having a nice meal. :)

3. Who cooks the Thanksgiving dinner?

Everyone sort of pitches in and fixes certain things. Like my grandma always fixes her stuffing, and my mom makes her pecan and pumpkin pies. We all help out.

4. What is the best thing to eat on Thanksgiving?

Hmm, either mashed potatoes with gravy or stuffing.

5. And the best dessert?

Probably pumpkin pie.

Here goes....

1. What are you most thankful for this Thanksgiving?

I am most thankful for....*drum roll* my family; they've been so supportive this year, well, they are every year, but you know what I mean.  And the other stuff I'm thankful for is a result of them.

2. What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving?

My favorite part of Thanksgiving is hanging out with my friends and laughing like crazy at the dinner table.  (We go over to my friends' (let's call her E) house and she invites some of her friends.  One friend E invites used to be in my orchestra, but now we're in different orchestras, so this is the only chance I get to see her besides concerts.)

3. Who cooks the Thanksgiving dinner?

Well, it's a potluck dinner, so we all bring stuff to eat.  E's dad roasts the turkey, though.

4. What is the best thing to eat on Thanksgiving?

Oooh, tough question! I really like cranberry sauce.  The mix of bitter and sweet appeals to me.  But I really like the combination of mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, turkey, and all the interesting, non-traditional stuff people bring.  YUM!

5. And the best desert?

Pie!!!! ----()  *Pies* (How does one make a good pie to throw on the internet?)  Pumpkin especially!

Nice questions! Hmmm....let's see...

1) My wonderfully, totally, extremely awesome cousins who are coming this year.

2) No school, sleeping in, and watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and I Love Lucy marathons

3) My mom and my next door neighbor

4) The yummy stuffing my mom makes

5) Pecan pie

MJ, that's what we do on Thanksgiving!  My Dad normally has to work in the afternoon, so we eat our Thanksgiving dinner the day before or after, if he's off work.  So on the day of Thanksgiving, we watch the parade and I LOVE I love Lucy!  :) :) :)

Umm... everybody! My birdy, doggies, family, all of you and the new house we moved into.

2. What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving?

Foooood... I like watching Charlie Browns Thanksgiving, too.

3. Who cooks the Thanksgiving dinner?

Grandma :)

4. What is the best thing to eat on Thanksgiving?

Sweet potatoes, marshmallow salad, rolls, turkey, stuffing (as long as you don't get a gizzard, I ate one last year and BLECH!! Turkey livers don't taste good) and mashed potatoes with gravy.

5.  And The best dessert?

Pumpkin pie is good, but I'd be very content with squirting the bottle of whipped cream into my mouth. :D
