Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Alright everybuggy.  I

Alright everybuggy.  I think it's time everyone comes out and says the truth.  I would like to thank Elizabeth W. for telling us the truth.  You are forgiven!

I have been getting overly angry, I admit.  Admins have been cutting some of my posts.  (thank you, by the way, I know what I said might have been taken the wrong way.  You're awesome!)  All this lying has made me so confused, I can't control my feelings.  I apologize for any harsh words, and I am sorry if I accused someone who is NOT fake.

SMS, we believe you are making fake identities.  Apparently, it seems you would like to be a part of CB, but are too scared to show yourself after your past lie about Mackenzie S.  SMS, we forgave you.  We wanted you to stay.  We would love to get to know you.  All these fake (we are pretty sure), threads are getting awfully confusing! Please stop making fake identities.  We would love to start over, if you would.

If there is anyone else out there, making fake identities, please, just tell us.  I, at least, promise not to get mad, and will be glad to start fresh.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

R~D~

Thank you, R~D~, for making this thread. *gives flowers*

This is directed at Kristen, Sammy, and Noah:
Guys, if you're real, then *chokes* PLEASE do not think we're insane for... well, basically assaulting you via the internet. But. If you are actually SMS, please, for heaven's sake. If you would like to be a part of the CB, you're welcome here. Really. I think I can speak for most, if not all, of us when I say that we are more than willing to give you a second chance. Really. You don't need to lie to win friendship. *sounds corny*

And yes, the threads are getting confusing as heck with all these maybe fake maybe not identities clogging them up, as R~D~ said. Not only that, but DtE is also getting clogged up with new threads made to counteract the lying, where we do what we're doing now--- ask you to stop, express confusion, etc. Therefore, if we all just STOP doing this, our problems should be all solved. Right?

Again, as R~D~ said, please just come clean and we will all start afresh.

Okay?

Thank you.

Sincerely,

-Mary Liz

I agree. But didn't Noah post before SMS? Oh, forget it. I'm through with trying to understand things.

Okay, guys. I believe I have a slightly different view on this than some of you do, so please hear me out.

I don't think this SMS (or whoever it is that may be making fake identities) wants to be an honest part of CB. I think she enjoys making these fake identities and watching our reactions. Because, seriously, she knows we had forgiven her for making up Makenzie. There would be no reason for her to hide behind fake IDs by now.

What I think we should do is stop making these sorts of threads. In fact, I think we should drop this whole lying thing all together. If an "I'm new" thread comes up, than we should say hi, and stop accusing, because obviously it's not helping. Every (possible) new person deserves a fair shake, and if it turns out that SMS is just making fake IDs to mess with us (and the website) than maybe she'll find it less fun when she sees that we aren't making a fuss about it anymore. That's my view, anyway.

In other words,

Don't feed the trolls.

Though I speak as someone who managed to completely miss this whole SMS thing... Someone fill me in? Please?

That's a really good idea, Megan.

It's pretty obvious that Noah, S.M.S, and alot of others are the same people. ;) Or they just happened to go to the same grammar classes.

TNO, SMS completely made up a fake story, fake name, fake twin, fake adopted brother in Hong Kong, fake everything.  She told us the truth, and though we forgave her, she "won't" come back.  We think she's making up all these fake newcomers.

And, I think Megan is right.  If SMS, or whoever is making up the fake IDs, doesn't want to be BRAVE and come clean, we will just have to be nice to all newcomers.  We don't want to risk scaring people away.  *holds self back*  *about to say rude things to the faker*  SMS will eventually tire of making fake IDs and seeing us react kindly, with a couple of "Welcome's" and "Hello's to her "I'm New Here" threads, and will hopefully leave.  (unless she'd like to confess, then she's welcome to stay.)

So.... BYE!

@ TNO (umlaut): Well, Mackenzie S came on the CB a few weeks ago, and stayed for awhile. Then she made this "Sorry" thread and announced that her name was not Mackenzie, it was Sydney (Sydney Michelle S, hence SMS). That would be okay by itself, but then she confessed that she'd also made up her "twin sister, Molly," who had been posting as well. And the "fact" that that her family was adopting a child from Hong Kong, and, well, basically everything else she'd said about herself. This was very annoying, but because she seemed sorry we more or less collectively forgave her. Then she announced she was leaving. Okay. So she left. But then all these new people (Sammy, Noah, Kirsten, and a couple others) started showing up. Their writing styles were really weirdly similiar to SMS' and they were all posting at more or less the same time. Our slightly paranoid but nonetheless fact-based conclusion was that these "newbies" were all SMS posing under fake identities. This triggered various different reactions from different people ranging on a scale of "whatever, let's be nice" to "AAAAAARGGGGHHH!" and everywhere in between...

Reading that over it seems kind of silly, I give you, but it's really annoying and we all sort of wish it would stop. And yes, it's at times like this that you look really wise for not posting on DtE much, by the by.

@ Megan: H'm. You make a good point. ...Shall we try that?

Thank you. :) Yes, I'd like to try it (and hopefully

this will pass), as long as everyone else agrees.

*sigh* Well, I know for a fact that some people are definetly not real, and I'm really disappointed that they lied to me, even after they promised. Certain evidence which I have not metioned has made it way too clear, and there's no denying it. However, I will forget the lies and move on. From now on, I will stop trying to convince them to stop lying, because it's obviously completely useless.
