Chatterbox: Down to Earth

How-to Threads

How-to Threads

Soooo... you might think I've disappeared from Chatterbox (well Ok, you probably didn't even notice ;) ) But actually I check pretty often. I just never see anything all that interesting to comment on! I think we need another Chatterbox trend, like the S.I. threads, quizzes, etc. I know everyone thinks they clog up the Chatterbox, and they do after a while, but at the beginning they are always really fun. And it makes you come back, just so you can see if anyone guessed who you are, or took your quiz. It's all about the suspense! :P

Anyway, here is my new "idea," I have to admit -- I didn't make this one up. There is an awesome website based entirely on this sort of thing. This is how it works. Think of something to make a tutorial about. It can be anything: How to tie-dye a T-shirt, make yummy cookies, or even ride a pogo stick! Write that at the top of your new thread so that Chatterboxers can see what it's about. Write a little description about the project, and make a list of everything you will need. (If anything) Now comes the main part. Make steps to teach how to complete the project. Here's a tip: it's much better to have a lot of short and simple steps, rather than a few long, confusing ones. So that's about it. What do you think?

I made a thread like this yesterday, only I didn't have suggestions. I think that's fantabulous, and I will make one today. Cheers!

Ooh, cool idea. Now I have to think of something to teach everybody to do... anyways, on a different note, I think that the only way to get rid of all these threads clogging up CB is to overpower them with new ones and good ideas like this :D.

I have written a tutorial on writing free-verse poetry and need to check it and retry it to make sure it works. It should be up today or tomorrow.
