How to make

How to make paper snowflakes!

1. Take a peice of paper and make sure it is square. (square it up by folding it down from the corner and cutting off the remaining strip.)

2. Fold your square diagonally into a triangle.

3. Face the long side of the triangle towards you.

4. This is the confusing part- fold the triangle into thirds.

You do this by finding the center of the long side of your triangle and then folding the right corner over so that- this is confusing- so that the top edge of your fold-over is less than horizontal to the top corner of your original triangle. Don't fold the bottom over beyond the middle line you drew.

5. Fold the left side over the right, so that it goes right up snug, creating a wedge shape.

6. Your flake should resemble a wedge of pie with a crown on it. There should not be anything sticking out the sides of the wedge. If there is, even it up or go back to step 4.

7. Cut off the crown-shaped part.

8. Unfold your snowflake, decide how you want to cut it, fold it up again, and then cut it.
