Happy box! I

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Happy box! I

Happy box! I can pretty much guarantee that no one else here has a happy box. I got the idea from some book, and it's a decent idea. It's a general meter of your state of mind. Here's how it goes:

1) Find a small box

2) Find twenty small rocks (I use random things like little bells and paper flowers) that will all fit inside your box and won't roll on a flat surface

3) Place the box on a little-used surface where you will see it frequently

4) Put ten of the rocks in the box and ten outside near it

5) Whenever something makes you happy, put one of the rocks from outside into the box, and whenever something makes you sad, take one rock out.

Voila! Happy box! Generally mine hovers around half-in-half-out, but right now it's almost empty cause I'm not happy about a lot of things. It's fun, though - give it a go. I have tried rating every day right before I go to bed as good or bad and then taking a rock out or putting it in based on my rating. Or you can just do it every time you see the happy box. Hope that makes sense - give it a go!

Aw, I'm sorry all your rocks are sad right now... don't you hate that?  That's a good idea, I might just try it.  :)

You're thinking of the book Stargirl. Except she had a "happy wagon."
