REVOLVE TOUR 2009!

REVOLVE TOUR 2009!

Best. Weekend. Of. My. Life. :) Really though, has anybuggy been to it, or even heard of it??  It's a Christian, umm, idk what you'd call it...  Maybe a retreat...?  It has bands and speakers, so yeah, w/e that makes it.  They have it all over the country, so you REALLY should try to go it (the one in Orlando is at my beloved Amway Arena, where the Orlando Magic play!).  Its theme this year is 4Real.

Anywaaaaay, at 2:30 on Friday, my youth group met at the middle school's parking lot and piled into a 12 seater van.  After like five hours of driving, we FINALLY arrived at the hotel in Hartford, Connecticut.  Soo we checked in (oh my gosh, this was the most amazing hotel I've ever seen!!  Each room had like two bedrooms in it!!  And since we rented two rooms, we had plenty of space..) and brushed our hair (trust me, we were a mess).

Next, we finally walked a few blocks to the building the Revolve Tour was in (I think it's where either a college b-ball team or hockey team plays).  We were like 45 minutes late, but that didn't really matter.  We got amazing (almost) front row seats (lots of ppl sat in the actual stadium seats, but we were in the temporary seat set up on the floor, like five rows from the stage).  First, we rocked out and sang and danced and screamed along with Group 1 Crew (a Christian hip-hop band; hey, don't laugh! They're actually wicked good! Right now, I'm listening to their song "Movin'".).  Then speakers came out and talked, and other bands came out and played.  So much fun! :)

Then, we went back to the hotel and watched White Collar on USA.  Actually, we were more playing around in the giant room and eating nachos.  Nachos are good.  At eleven o' clock, we all gathered around and watched the Monk episode from last week. (my friend Erin and I had spent about five hours talking on Facebook and looking on USAnetwork's website, figuring out who killed Trudy, so I was excited to watch it) Then, at midnight, the last episode ever of Monk came on.  Erin and I were exactly right on everything about Trudy and why Adrian was poisoned.  We are complete geeks. :)

The next morning (I WOKE UP AT 7:30!!) we ate breakfast, then went back to the tour.  It was pretty much an extended version of the previous day, but even more fun.  I never dance or sing in RL, but man I sure was yesterday! :) I think all the speakers we had were Jenna Lucado (my favorite!), Chad Eastham (my 2nd favorite!), Yvette Nicole Brown (Helen on Drake & Josh), Austin Gutwein (some kid who founded Hoops of Hope, an organization that raises money for people in Africa, esp. those who have or have family members with AIDS), Britt Nicole, and Jenn Helvering, and the bands were Group 1 Crew and Stellar Kart.  I bought a book by Jenna called Redefining Beautiful.  I'm only on the second chapter, and it's already my favorite book.  Read it. :) And I bought a cute white shirt that has a winged heart on it and it says "the REVOLVE tour". :)

Then at like 3:30 (sighhh, 24 hours ago...), we had to leave.  So we drove to Cracker Barrel, ate an early dinner (ewww, I reaaaaally don't like that restaurant! :P), and bought all our Christmas presents for our families.  About twenty minutes later, a couple of us had to use the bathroom again, so we stopped at a rest area (same one I stopped at on the way to NY).  Soo my SBFF [Sometimes Best Friend Forever] Becca, my youth leader, and I got out of the car and saw the first amazing, disgusting, slushy brown snow of the year!!  So we started a slushball fight which was SO much fun! :) Then we went into the bathroom, looked at ourselves in the mirror, and started laughing hysterically, because we were SO gross!!  Fortunately, I didn't get it on my new shirt.  After that, I then endured the longest car ride of my life.  No, not because of time, but rather because I was in the farthest back seat with Emily and Anna, two of the weirdest girls I know.  Four hours with tired versions of them can seem like eight hours.  But it was fun. :)

All in all, I took 115 photos, 20 of which were me and Emily stalking ppl (AKA, us taking pictures of cars driving by). :) BEST WEEKEND OF MY LIFE!!  SO MANY MEMORIES!

God loves you.  The real you.  4Real.

Oh, Emilie, you reaaaally should go next time!  I think the closest one to WA they did this year was in Portland, Oregon.  But maybe by next year they'll have one in WA!  And even if they don't, you should still go!
