Just something for

Just something for you to read....

So last night, at about 1 o'clock, my fire alarms went off!!!!!!!!!!!  My dad checked the house and there was no fire.  (why we didn't run outside right away?  We have issues with our fire alarms, and they sometimes go off randomly.  But never at night!!) (And another note:  We have a fancy alarm system that we know nothing about.  So when one goes off, they ALL go off!)  After about five minutes, they turned off.  My dad had been frantically trying to shut them off, I felt bad for him.  So, we all went back to bed.

Suddenly, they turned on again, a couple minutes later!  This time, it was only for about a minute.  But, my dog was howling, and my baby sister was crying, and one of the alarms went crazy and started making really weird noises, and we were all freaking out.  So it turned off, and before we even got in bed, the alarms went off again!  This time, they stayed on for a VERY long time.  My parents couldn't figure out how to turn them off.  So they sent us all out to our van!  There was even a siren outside our house, waking up all of our neighbors!  It was FRIGID outside, and we were all half awake, wrapped in blankets, singing Christmas carols in the car.  Hee Hee :)  Well, my parents had to eventually yank off each alarm.  So now we have wires hanging from our ceiling.

R~D~, something like that happened to a lot of people in our town once many years ago. If I remember right, I think it may have had to do with unusually low air pressure or something like that. At the time there was an article in the paper about it. I'm glad you didn't have a fire! And I wish you all a good night tonight!

Ugh, I hate fire alarms (unless there's actually a fire, heheh :D )... That's really bad, though. :\

Ours randomly go off sometimes, but only when it's low on batteries (or if there was a fire, of course......).

Anyway, I hope that's all straightened up for you guys. :)

HaHa, thanks.  We are going to insert new alarms.  The old ones were possessed!  They were still going off when my Mom pulled them from the ceiling.  WEEEEEEEEeeeeeee......hee hee!!!

Maybe they were dusty??  That happened to mine one time.  But maybe they weren't.  Hope you get a better fire alarm and a good night sleep! :)
