Dreams or Nightmares

Dreams or Nightmares :):(:

This is a thread to share weird dreams you had. Or nightmares, if you really want.

Have you ever had a half-asleep dream like walking on a plateau and suddenly you walk right off a cliff and it shakes you awake and you jump? I used to have these a lot but then they just stopped...

Also, I had a dream where the world was ending, and I had to save a little boy who was hurt. I picked him up and we ran to a spaceship and shot off in to space and watched the Earth. It looked so molten-lava-firey-volcanic-type-thing.

It was weird.

Also, I had another dream where I was in this apple orchard in fall. My crush was standing beside me and a wheelbarrow was in front of us full of apples. Then I leaned over and kissed him. The scene changed and we were sitting in this lounge room and my mom was beside me and my crush was across from me. Somehow, my mom had found out that something had happened involving me and him, and she asked me a question (this has escaped my memory), and I looked over at him, he looked down, then looked up at me, and I looked at my mom and said "I got my Golden*." She gasped and said "You got your Golden?!?" I nodded. Then my crush's mom walks in with a big stack of paper. My mom tells her I got my Golden. She looks at me and asked who I got it with. I say my crush's name... and I wake up.

I've always loved the idea in The BFG that dreams come from a "dream country" and have all different shapes and colours according to how they make you feel.

Has anyone ever had it when you had the same dream twice? I had a dream that I was playing hide and seek and someone found me. Then I had the same exact dream a couple months later, but I somehow knew that I had to hide in a different place, so I did, and I didn't get found in the dream that time! It was really weird.

this one time I had a very random dream, involving the river I live by, I was standing on the sidewalk along the river and for some reason a gigantic bicycle floated by??

and then I was like, "this is a weird dream"

"oh wait it's a dream"

"I can do whatever I want!"

"I can have superpowers!"

*wakes up*

I've never had a lucid dream before :(

I only have story-like dreams, where everything is on a set path, in fact, I get a lot of repeat dreams where there are only minor changes, if any at all. And nightmares. Especially nightmares. Sometimes I wonder if I'm kinda psychic because I've got pretty accurate foresight-dreams too. A lot of times I wake up and am like 'haha wow, that was a weird dream' and then it happens irl and I'm just kinda like??? Also all of my dreams are hyper-realistic.

The most surreal dream I've ever had was when I was very young and I was in a non-existent room with impossible lighting in my childhood house. There was a lion and a deer, and the deer was breying and wheezing as it deflated like one of those crinkly party-baloons, while the lion sucked its innards out through a small bite-hole like a vampire-spider amalgamation. I couldn't move (I rarely can in dreams) and remained quiet, just watching, while puffy clouds on a bright-blue sky floated by on the walls, whilst the rather gruesome scene unfolded. When emptied of everything, the deer slumped into a wrinkled pelt on the ground and the lion and I just stared at it for a while before a chunky cartoon rainbow reverse-faded into existence on the wall. As if a sign, the lion turned to me and said something along the lines of 'well that wasn't very satisfying.' It promptly jumped out a window that hadn't been there before and the dream ended.

Also there was another dream where there were giant ants. Like, humongous ants. Like, could-barely-fit-in-the-house-but-weren't-going-to-stop-trying ants. I got pinched by one of them.

Also, also there was a repeating dream I got a few times where I was standing outside, looking up at the sky when I noticed the moon wasn't where it normally was at that time. Suddenly, I hear a commotion from down the street and here comes the moon, rolling down the street like a huge glowing marble.

All of these were a bit more absurd, perhaps because of my very young age at the time. Nowadays my dreams tend to be much more mundane... Except for that one dream about a mascot dog coming through the glass door and into a dark house that I was staying at, which was trying to murder me... Surprisingly, that is the only nightmare I've had related to actual horror media I've consumed. Strange, innit?

I LOVE these!! :DDD

when I was younger, I too had nightmares. And they were very weird. In one I was trapped in a burning building. But that wasn't the scary part. The scary part was I was allergic to flames and fire was everywhere so I was just running around sneezing. It was a very nice, open, great-view, clean building by the way. And I truly wasn't that scared. I was just like, I'M SNEEZING!! AHHH!!! Oh, also I'm in a burning building. But oh well. AHH SNEEZING!! Yes, that was one of my earliest memories of a nightmare! Most of my nightmares don't last that long though because I have this weird thing where if I'm truly freaked out in a dream or, like recently, I could... it'd take to long to go into the details but a few months ago this inky black shadow monster was going to kill me (actually plot twist I knew it really wasn't because I had already lived the scenario in the same dream and went back in time so I knew everything the monster would do and could survive but at the time I was like wait... I think it actually is gonna kill me this time so I panicked so ignore everything I just said sorry this is confusing probably) and so I was like NOO THERE'S NO ESCAPE THIS IS THE END!!! Then I was like, wait, I guess I'll just wake up now. So I just opened my eyes. I'm freakishly good at that. Literally, if I think I'm gonna die or something bad's gonna happen to me, I just leave the dream. Since I was really little if I was having a nightmare I would just wake myself up and go to my parents room. Sometimes when I closed my eyes again the dream would resume exactly where it had paused before though so I'd have to wake myself up again. Sorry I'm putting in bold cuz I'm truly curious if this is just me or other people can do it too, but, seriously guys. Is it normal for me to be able to be like OH NO THIS IS SCARY I WAS COMMITTED TO THIS HEROIC QUEST BUT NOW I WANT OUT SO I GUESS I'LL JUST OPEN MY EYES NOW. And then I open my eyes (if you read this bold I'd appreciate it if you read this whole post sorry it's long too if you haven't yet). And I'm back in my room. It really feels like teleporting. And I realize my missed opportunity for a lucid dream. And I think, bummer. But at least I don't have to face that scary monster in a duel to the death anymore!! :) :) And then I'll go back to sleep. Peacefully, this time.

I just dreamed about this really weird house that looked like a cottage sort of thing, but they're like three separate houses combined together or something, and when you go inside and look out the window, it looks like an apartment building. And someone accidentally dropped something of mine out the window, so I had to go out and retrieve it. Then it turned into a buffet. Yeah, it was kinda weird.

My most recent dream, which turned sort of terrifying but wasn't too horrible, involved me having swim practice at this pool that's appeared in a dream before and is apparently in the basement of the high school in my town (which isn't real). The pool was too deep for my liking (even though I know how to swim I don't like deep water) and it was hard to get out of and there were strong currents in it. I asked to get out early in the dream and I did and then I was walking through the parking lot, where I had left the scooter I had apparently used to get there, when this kid who I know, who we'll call P, started talking to me about even though he's an Aquarius he's definitely not a water sign (and, in real life, P's birthday is in December). Then P told me a joke involving some people planning on traveling to a planet but not traveling back, which terrified me, because one of my fears is extraterrestrials and interplanetary travel.

Then I woke up, and the dream had led me to sleep in, which almost never happens (even though I have to get up at 7 on weekdays, I'm almost always awake by 6:45, and on weekends I don't sleep in any more than that).

I had lots of interesting dreams the other night; they were all very happy and fun :) Here's what they were about:

-I was reading online about a fascinating middle-aged woman who had escaped from Moldova or Macedonia and gone to live in Madrid, in Spain. She worked in the art dealing business and had done some shady things, but nevertheless was very respected by everyone and quite an elite person. She'd never had any children, so she adopted one. One of her good friends was Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese soccer player, and he was either shocked about or supportive about the adoption of the child, I don't remember which.

-I was having a dance performance with a group of other girls. The teacher was similar to the chess teacher I took lessons from this summer.

-Someone was interviewing Tristan Farnon from the TV series All Creatures Great & Small, and I was there. We knew each other from before and started talking, getting along really well. He offered to take me for a drive (being Tristan, naturally that was his preferred way of socializing lol).  He was actually being super nice and fun. Later, at a house that was supposed to be my home, Mrs. Hall was bustling around, saying it was scandalous the way the people from Skeldale House (Tristan's house in ACG&S) were associating with the people in my house.

I dreamed that I went to this class course thingy, and some people in my group got in trouble, and because I was with that group, I would've gotten into trouble too, so I got out of it by escaping on a motor boat, and had this whole adventure through the city.
