a thread about my two kittens, Cupcake and Muffin!
as of today, while Cupcake is sleeping, Muffin has started to get really friendly, despite his less-than-cuddly introduction (there were band-aids involved). currently he's zooming around, attacking his sleeping brother, meowing loudly, and batting his own whiskers.
meanwhile, Cupcake is just trying to sleep, but Muffin is tackling him.
...and now they have switched places, but Cupcake is attacking my feet. those claws hurt. a lot.
ok, I think they've both settled down.
nvm, Muffin dissapeared and Cupcake has the zoomies.

Imma just start a Muffin and Cupcake fan club at this point
also - my brain keeps thinking of them as Cuffin and Mupcake.
OOH, Iffy says "hawdy!" She's a cowboy!!!
Oh whoops, I think maybe she was saying "bawdy"?? That would be possibly her first word, in that case. Now she's saying "oiivv!" which somehow sounds very funny.

I officially declare this thread awesome.
Litterboxes are pretty cool (in my opinion) to clean. They're like digging for treasure in the sand box. Except... it's a different kind of treasure...

so, for the past weekish we've had the kittens, we constructed a makeshift wall that presumably would stop them from getting upstairs.
this morning, Cupcake figured out how to get past the barrier by climbing a chair, jumping onto the top of a bookshelf, and then jumping up onto the in-betweeney stairs.
all of this while I was trying to sleep.

Wow. Cupcake is awesome. But better luck getting sleep next time! Same thing with my dog. We used a buncha stools to try to form a wall but he thinks he's small (spoiler: he's not) so he tried to squeeze under, in the space between the seat of the stool and the legs! He got stuck, of course, so maybe not exactly the same thing. He did jump a fence once to chase some coyotes though! And my aunt's (tiny but big in attitude) dog sometimes jumps the wall and just goes for a walk around the neighborhood. He always comes back by the next day, though :)

For my cat, Rose, we have this baby-gate-type-thing that we put up in the hallway at night. For a while we thought she was ramming it with her nose, and so we'd put pillows around it.

Cupcake has, twice now, transformed into a chocolate-frosted cupcake.
and a few minutes ago, Muffin transformed into a nutella-topped muffin.
if you don't know what I mean by that, let's just say the kittens are not very good at correctly using their litter box.
