Oh NOOO panic attacks. I also get them and deeply emphasize (my latest one was during P.E. where we were playing tag and I was so, so, terrified because I was being chased). If there's a panic attack at night, I suggest singing out loud to yourself even if you don't think you're good at singing. It always makes me feel less alone and less afraid. I'm still figuring out panic attacks myself so I don't have very much experience with them, but good luck!!

...I'm gonna come back to top this later. Nya says <bcyba> which I'm assuming means "because NBA" although that's completely out of context.

Thank you!!! Google is like not helpful at all--it's like, 'count to ten and take deep breaths' lolll

But yeah i tried the singing thing and it rly helped. I have a lot of panic attacks during the night because it's like thats when my brain starts thinking about everything and my life has been hectic and stressful.

Today I had a minor panic attack that lasted two periods and I still felt panicky on my ride home from school. Then, on the walk up to my house, I remembered this suggestion of singing. At first, it was mostly muttering to myself, but by the end of the song, I could actually breathe enough (b/c walking w/heavy backpack on a slight incline while singing is not the easiest) to sing! Anyways thank you for this tip, it very much helped.

Wow I'm late

So I don't know if you still want advice but here's some things you can try to get less panic attacks

- Distance yourself from toxic people. They are adding stress to your life and you do not need them

- Meditate! When you're not having panic attacks, practice meditating a little every day. Like two minutes a day just focusing on your breathing. It seems weird but meditation is actually kind of nice

- Also try getting outside a little every day. Just go for a walk if you can or play in your backyard if you have one

- Keep a journal: try to write down things that stressed you out throughout the day in there, but also put some things you are grateful for. I often advise people do this, it's good to get thoughts out somewhere

- Whenever I'm feeling sad or stressed I watch a funny movie or read a book and it helps a lot. Maybe you can try that

- Therapy. Not everyone has a good experience with it but a lot of people do

- If you're getting panic attacks at night, maybe try drinking chamomile tea or other non-caffeinated teas before bed to help you sleep? I love tea and chamomile always makes me sleepy

I don't know if it any of it will really help; I don't get very many panic attacks, but it might be worth a try and I really hope it gets better for you
